Biscuit Monster thanks makes me feel better I'm not the only one, I've give up after Wednesday last couple of weeks! Hoping not playing catch up will help!
Quick Q Is there an easy way to clean bathroom blinds? I waited until after I had a bath in the hope the steam would make it easier for me to clean them but it still took over an hour (granted they were in desperate need of a clean) - I avoided doing them as I hate it!
will update list later when I'm finished0 -
Frizzle so glad little one will be heading home at last.
Hope all are well.SPC~12 ot 124
In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Frizzle, that's great news. Happy homecoming! :j
I tidied most of the front garden, took 3 bags of garden rubbish to the tip, delivered 3 bags of babyclothes to a specialist CS in town (they only do baby things) and went to the bank but it had shut 10 minutes earlier grrr!
Now to cook pasta bolognese, eat and then head out to a (different) study group, which is moving around to 5 different venues over the course of the next few weeks. Tonight's is the most difficult to get to, and of course DH has the car on Tuesdays to go to model railway club. I shall have a long walk there and hope I can get a lift at least part of the way back.0 -
...Like Dizzy imp the fish tank has been cleaned out.
*ahem*...erm, not yet...but soon, I promise.
I have been quite busy sorting out two cupboards and now have shoes neatly boxed, shirts sorted, ironed and hung up to air and the linen cupboard is now neat and tidy. I've binned lots of yellowing pillowcases and old duvet covers (well, in a bag for textile recycling) and refolded everything, so it looks so much better.
Two pairs of beautiful shoes, hardly worn, to list on EBay - I hardly ever do this, so not sure how successful it will be. Should I start at 99p, or ask for more? They are practically brand new and weren't cheap but my lifestyle now is more wellies and mud than killer heels :rotfl:0 -
Evening!
Gosh frizzle, strep b? That can be really unpleasant! Glad they got her tested and sorted xx
Granny has gone home, and I'm WFH tomorrow but kiddies are having a day at school club. It's probably costing about a third of what I'll earn tomorrowho hum. She's been a great help though for two days. DS has been for his hair cutting, they've had a swim, she's been sorting the laundry basket and taken a load of stuff for the hospice sale too :A
My stepdad has also been and taken the big tool cabinet :T so that's a huge thing out of my office - full of tools (I've kept the bits I know how to use lol). He did say he wanted it about 2 years agoso I'm relieved it's finally gone to a good home...
Still keeping an eye on DS - he's been pasty and grumpy and so tired, I wondered if he was going to be poorly. He had colour in his cheeks tonight but also felt a bit warm... But MIL said he's been much more cheerful, and although he was in his onesie she said he has been dressed etc and was just playing at being a tiger
So, not much flying other than kitchen dailies. And what granny has done. Paid stuff is just ridiculous at the mo. It's like they want me to do an entire years work before I leave. I'm trying to tell myself not to care, and just plod on doing what I can. But I'm not working on my days off this week.
List for tomorrow, beside more paid stuff:
Find stabilisers for bike, and check the mum from dance class deffo wants the bike.
Put stuff for cousins foster DD in car
Change DD bedding
Pop to Mr A - list at the ready!
Lol, I took a little lunch break today (how very dare i?) and worked out if I get notice served before the end of the month, I'll be able to leave by the end of May. With my holidays accrued, I could have just 36 working days left :T. The redundancy report goes to the sign-off group next week so I'm hoping they respond very soon after... Fingers crossed!
I can cope with that!
Hope the nitties are nice and clean, piggersBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Ooo Bossy , 36 days, how exciting, but don't overwork yourself, you can only do what you can do.
frizzle how lovely that you are bringing her home.
iona boo re SW. I lost a stone before Christmas doing WW online. I have now put it all back on.
No flying done today as still at my mum and dads. Work is terrible at the moment, too much to do and the office always too hot, so got to mum and dads feeling zonked and with a stinking headache, could not face the drive home. Have to set off back early tomorrow as looking after friends daughter (dd1's friend) and also because I am mad have invited dd2's friend to play, and the house is a big dump.
Oh well....0 -
