    Eighth Anniversary
Today I've done the usual, make beds feed people, do dishes, s&s x2, washing, dog walk plus I've drove Dm&d to Doc's, made a start on filling in a dss form for Ds2 (I'm his legal appointee & I find dealing with the dss scary) I hoovered my living room carpet & sofa's, cleaned the window inside, ended up cleaning the outside & all the glass on the front door too + the frames. I polished the mirror & tv & a side table in there, then polished all the mirrors on the passage & stairs too. I used tesco window wipes but I'm not sure if I'd use them again, maybes I'll get better results if I clean stuff with them more regularly, hopefully. I've also done the supermarket shop, twice had to go back because I forgot something, doh. Ive also been to the gym today too.

Evening! Just got the kids to bed  we went to a panto :) it was just a small local church hall job but it was heaps of fun! But it's late and they were both begging for bed lol. So they're both tucked in with a warning not to get up till lunchtime :rotfl:

We were out all afternoon too. On the way to my aunts, my phone was ringing. As in personal mobile. Who do you suppose it was - you know, redundant person, unpaid day off and all that??? !!!!!! they really need to sort it out! Said "I might need to ring you tomorrow" <facepalm> my reply was "it's half term, we've got plans"

We have! Tomorrow is our pj day!!! Work can bog right off.

    Meh!

    But we've had a lovely day - apart from that - :D

Narco sounds like you have so much on - maybe take a step back, breathe and look at what needs to be done in what order? Sounds daft but could you take a walk outside just to clear your head and maybe do a spot of mindfulness? I know it takes time but, for me, it can be a lifesaver. Good you're busy but not good you're anxious and stressed. Sending big hug from me and my lovely Whippet xx

Thank you for those kind words. Yes I'd be a mental wreck without regular exercise; it is such a fine balance as I love my work but sometimes take on too much and get overwhelmed. I feel a lot better today although I had a busy day at work (no lunch - so MFP is sulking and won't let me "submit" what I've eaten today as apparently it isn't enough....). However, Mr N went in to see his mum and she is a lot better, still a bit stiff and bruised but ok. He tentatively discussed the possibility of finding accommodation which is slightly more "attended" than hers (due to cuts, the warden who used to live in the block and keep a friendly eye on everyone is now living 20 miles away and rarely available). She was not averse to the idea so he has been making a few phone calls. There is a lovely setup not far from her in the next small town (where Mr N works) where they have their own flat but there is a nurse, cleaners and wardens available also a couple of common rooms with computers, entertainment etc. We'll have to find out what the requirements are, waiting list etc.

So no real flying today other than filling the bird feeders but I feel a lot more positive.

Narc0, I have one of these bath lifts:Would SS consider providing something like that for her?

Thanks. It is so ridiculous that not that long ago, I'm sure less than a year, SS or maybe someone from the housing association came to see about a shower - we were more than happy to pay for it, but you can't just put in what you want with the rent agreement apparently. They said if she needs it they have to put it in, but they watched her and deemed her not to need it. What she has is a shower unit thing over the bath; she rarely uses it as an actual bath, but you have to climb in it to get to the shower if that makes sense.

Anyway Mr N rang several people today; fortunately he works for the local authority so knows lots of people anyway and we have a few ideas.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Airing cupboard sorted
    More toys put upstairs
4 kitchen drawers sorted and stuff chucked in charity bag. Labels printed and attached where necessary (to aid things being put away)
Ground floor henried, dysoned and mini vaxed
1st Wm load dried outside in ages
    Master bed remade
    Towels washed
    2 bags of shredding completed

Ds2 helped move the soft toys off the shelf and put in a pillow case so they wouldn't suffocate to make room for some Lego models

More FB sales collected all ds2's. He is pleased as punch.

Befriender visit went fairly smoothly until he started talking about food. He has been warned several times of ds2's food adversion. Luckily I'm still not allowed to leave them so I was able to defuse the situation.

    Evening all

Thanks but how do you copy and paste, this time I've used the right click but still no colour.
To copy go to end of what you want to copy, hold down left-click and run to top of what you want to copy - this should now be highlighted in blue. Right-click anywhere in blue and then left-click Copy.

Now go to your reply box and open it. Right-click, look for Paste and left-click on that. Your copy should now open in the colour you copied. HTH

Morning. Sorry I didn't get a chance to pop in before the paid stuff yesterday but I did paperwork as it was pay day.

    Hope you're all ok.

I've just had breakfast, plans are to get dressed, walk the dogs and do some ironing. And if there's time, look at the list.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thank the Lords, it's the last day of half-term...it's been hell.

I've already put out the rubbish and recycling, got to pop to the vets for a bandage change on Girl Pup at 10am but otherwise I'm free to fly!

I'm down to the last two duvet covers in the ironing pile, then the basket is empty! So excited - this will be the first time since we moved house back in June!!! Sad, I know, but little things...

Panto sounded fun Bossy - hopefully their tiring day will ensure a lay in for you this morning x

Good job you were on hand to diffuse the situation with your son and his befriender dancemum - could've been tricky. Loved that the bears had to be stored in a pillowcase so they could breathe. Your son sounds very sweet, bless him x

Fingers crossed MrN can get something sorted for his mum Narc0. Sounds like he has the situation in hand. Great he has so many contacts who might be able to offer help and advice. Parentals can be a worry...
  • Morning all,
