DD is still sleeping! I'm giving her until 2pm then I need to get her up so I can go out to work. Been in to check on her a few times to make sure she's still breathing. About to check again while I put the dry washing upstairs. How she's sleeping through workmen over the road working on someone roof cutting tiles etc I don't know. On the plus side I'm motoring through all my programmes I've not had a chance to watch and my admin work is just about done. :D I may just get an hour where I can do some flying at this rate :o

Off to fold the towels then take them upstairs.

To copy go to end of what you want to copy, hold down left-click and run to top of what you want to copy - this should now be highlighted in blue. Right-click anywhere in blue and then left-click Copy.

Now go to your reply box and open it. Right-click, look for Paste and left-click on that. Your copy should now open in the colour you copied. HTH

Nope doesn't work for me but thank you for trying to help.

Have seen a small improvement in house this week, not getting easier but does appear that something has been done. Whilst in bedroom found bottle of bath soak in scent I really like but it is very old and anyway I prefer to shower so probably why it has not been used. I didn't want to waste it so had the idea to use it for hand washing several items that have sat too long at bottom of wash basket. Currently on washing line are 4 fancy bras, some electric blue tights (dd'S) and some pop socks. Also a beautiful Indian cotton scarf with bead detail found dusty and neglected on DD's floor. Have another scarf soaking in wash basin, will get that on line in a couple of mins.

Do you think I could get away with using it to wash a special silk blouse that says to use special purpose silk cleaner? If it was mine I would but its not. What about using it on a wool jumper?
    Thank you.

DD is up and feeling much better than she did last night...I guess thats what 17 hours sleep does for you! She's put her pillow etc into wash as she's been drooling in the night, and now the windows upstairs are open to air the place out as its so stuffy.

I'm going to see if I can make some money off the items that are in the charity pile as there's loads of stuff we can in theory sell instead. If its only coppers then I'll just charity shop it anyway. I'll take until 4pm doing that then go out to work

    Dizzy what a day!

Everything taking longer than planned today.
    - went to gym class
    - went to Mr T to shop for us and for MIL
    - Dropped in at MIL to give her shopping. She says she feels a bit better but still lots of aches. I was concerned about one wrist; I told her I thought it needed X ray. The fact that she didn't disagree is very telling ; usually she says oh no don't bother the doctors they are too busy. Then had a long discussion about how much she wants a shower/hair wash before seeing a doctor. I said they are only looking at your wrist! but if she is a bit more mobile tomorrow she can come round to ours for a shower as ours is 'normal' i.e. you don't have to climb into the bath. She is such a private person, doesn't like to be seen in a state of undress so I know would be mortified if I showered her. I said I'd sit outside the door so she could summon me if needed!
    - rang Mr N when I got home to say we may be going to A& E this eve. He already planned to go to her doctor surgery on his way home as apparently instead of social services we now need to get an Occupational Therapist to visit her regarding putting in a walk-in shower.
-Luckily I'd put stewing beef in the slow cooker this morning so if we all go out it will be ready for us.
    - done one load in DW, put away.
    - Put shopping away.
    - Caught up with emails.
    - Had long discussion with recent private assessee, lovely man but talks for England.

I really need to email a report before 4pm (too late) and ring the car insurance (can't find paperwork even though I had it when I did the search).

So I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with things to do but I'm not especially stressed or depressed at all. Perked up when I got on scales this am, was the same on Wed as last Wed but now showing another lb lost.

Well after spending the night talking to God I got up at 3:30pm.. I think I've died. OH reprimanded for leaving me to it.. mid-panic attack trying not to spew on the cat (she dashed in when I turned on the tap) I rather needed my hand holding and someone to blubber on.

Of course I woke several times to girls bouncing on me and OH yelling at his sister!

I've necked 4 biscuits and a satsuma and had 3 mugs of boiled water.. I'm feeling really dehydrated but just need to sleep again now.

Procrastinator.. try quoting the post and deleting the bits you don't want.. you might have html editing disabled in your settings so it might be worth checking that on the user cp link at the top above the thread title.

OH being bossed to feed mini-beasts, I am absolutely not doing it.

Piggers I'm concerned about you; feel-better-fast vibes on their way.

    Mumof2 shame you're not MK-based - I bet Whiz would be a lovely guest!

Dizzy I'd take the dogs if I could, but I'm afraid I draw the line at children.:D

It's going to be all change in the Wolf's Lair. As in a life-changing sort of all change. As in I shan't be struggling to Fly solo for much longer. And I shall have assistance when I have the likes of Charlie & Harvey to stay.:D

Oh alright, I'll get to the point - Mr LW has today informed his boss that he wants to retire. He's 66 now, and the 2-hour-plus daily commute, plus the way work are putting on him, expecting him to stay in the office and process stuff that comes in right on 17:30 (ie finishing time) every flippin' day, and riding him because he's basically not Superman is getting to him.

I've noticed for a while that he's been coming home exhausted, and not being enthusiastic about going to work like he used to be, so after a long chat last night, he's decided to call it a day.

If all goes according to plan, his last day of service will be 11th March. Fingers crossed that no-one throws any spanners in the works.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
