Hello,
Great news LW very pleased for you both, fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
I came home from the paid stuff with a headache, this is happening a lot at the moment. Due to this only really the daily stuff done, meal cooked, bit of tidying and henrying.
House getting me down in a big way. Had a chat with OH about relinquishing some control and paying someone to do some of the stuff that needs doing. We can't possibly do it all ourselves, I have a job, he has a business, we have two children and a dog. I think I made some progress, and we identified some stuff that he could trust someone else to do. He has issues in this area.
Was due a night out with friends tonight, but just couldn't face it.
Right. Moan over. I'm going to focus on painting this weekend, and some tidying at the front of the house and up the drive.
Has anyone heard from cy been thinking about her.
eta oooo spooky cy you must have been typing at the same time as I was, glad to see you, Great news re wedding x0 -

Exciting news CY - something lovely to look forward to. Hope the anti-nausea steroids work for you x
Happy retirement MrLW :T - I'm sure you will make the most of being together. Really lovely news!
My day got better - well let's face it, I'm not sure how much worse it could be got :rotfl: Ventilation contractor arrived (I'd forgotten his appointment, so had to wing it) and as DH is sorting out several contracts with this guy through work, he is going to price our work at cost. Result! It's not what you know...
BTW - why does nobody want my kids?!? Offers to take the hounds... Hahaha! They'd be returned within 48 hours, but no offers on the boys? Actually they mellowed after an afternoon snooze and had lovely snuggles with them both after dinner. I'm reading James and the Giant Peach to Small as his bedtime story and he's enthralled, which is so sweet. Tiny still wants the same noisy Spot the Dog book that makes me want to poke out my eyes with toothpicks, but I'm hoping to progress shortly to something with more than six repeated words.
Big glass of wine, curled up in the dog bag with my mutts, watching TV. Happy now x0 -
Great plans LW. Mr N has put in to drop to 3 days work per week and it seems that has been accepted, from the beginning of July.
Happy wedding plans CY
Had MIL round for dinner, she looks a lot better than she did earlier. A bit of bad timing with doctor ringing her 3 mins before Mr N got to her to inform her the the doc would be ringing - so she had no clue why doc was ringing her! Doc suggested an A&E half an hour's drive away instead of the one 10 mins away, don't know why. Anyhow, her arm feels a little better so we are going to see how she is tomorrow.
Had long phone call from my brother; feel really bad as he's just been let down over some work just as I'm really busy. Not that he holds it against me - our jobs aren't linked - but I feel bad we're about to book another holiday while he is struggling. I know he'd ask if he needed money desperately, not that he's ever done so.
Oh well time for bed; house isn't too bad and I'm very tired.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
:T Great news from your DD2, CY :T - it's going to be a whirlwind 5 months for you all!
Also very good news from Mr and Mrs LW and Mr and Mrs Narc0 - happy leisure time all round!
i have done very little today . All medical appointments were dealt with satisfactorily, we did a bit of shopping, and I have decided roughly what I want to wear for my goddaughter's wedding after seeing an outfit in a charity shop window (but sadly not in a colour that suits me, or I'd have bought it). I shall have to go to M€rry H€ll one day next week and hunt around for something similar but more subtle.0 -
Someone left a tissue in their pants (don't ask), I discovered this when I emptied the washing machine. Snow storm henried up.Videos

Morning friends. What a week, where did it go?
Went out for a meal last night with family including my brother and gorgeous niece who I dont see very often. Woke up in the night feeling sick and so so hot (sympathies with Pigpen)! I only had 2 glasses of wine too so not sure what it was. Still feeling a bit bleugh this morning.
Great news about the wedding CY, great to have something to look forward to.
No flying has been done here all week so I need to crack on today. All the furniture is still out of our office and there are things to take to the charity shop/tip or put on ebay so I need to make progress with that.
I did say I would cycle on to watch DS1 play footie - I have never seen him play since he was in the juniors - but that doesnt seem very appealing at the moment.
Lots of discussions here about moving house at the moment. The compromise will probably be a smaller house in a more convenient location. I cant face the thought of somewhere that needs work doing on it. DH and I slightly disagree on this.
Right, I need some breakfast I think. Catch you all later x0 -
OH out until about 7pm ..
I need to knit Dot a chicken hat today! She saw the pic and loved it.. *dumps cardigan*
I really must get dressed too. After getting up at gone 3 yesterday I still managed to get 6 hours sleep last night.. I think I'm tired lol.. I have a terrible caffeine withdrawal headache to fix today..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all.
Sorry I've not caught up on the thread properly. Its been one of those mornings already! DD is feeling worse but better than yesterday :rotfl: The infection must have taken 2 days to go from one side of her throat to the other as the pain has moved and one side looks much better whereas the other looks a little worse! She's refusing to go to the walk-in but I'm hoping a hot shower and going out with her dad for a few hours will help. She's off to see A1vin & the chipmunks at the cinema and I'm going to give her the money to go and buy some new earrings as she's yet again lost one of the ones she uses for school :mad: Seriously thinking that she may be better off letting them grow closed as she's constantly loosing the plain gold ones by popping the backs off them. I tried standard ones, she lost the backs, I tried the folding ones she's lost the whole earring, so I'm looking into more secure fittings for the backs of them. I can't understand why her ears weren't pierced with the same type I have. I had my ears pierced in 1995 and I still wear the same stud earrings today as due to the style of stud, I've never lost them.
My plan for today is to get the books out to my customers, then clean the house top to bottom and write tomorrows shopping list. I need to buy bottled water for DD to take to school while she's still got a sore throat, and I want to buy some sterilising stuff (not sure whether to get tablets or liquid) so I can fling the travel mugs and flasks she likes using in for a deep clean once a week which should get into all the nooks and crannies.
