  • **staggers back in**. I disappear for a couple of days and everyone has news.

LW I hope you and Mr LW enjoy a wonderful retirement.
HH How horrible. But at least she can get her money back. The LL sounds like a right so and so.
cy I hope the anti-nausea drug works. The wedding sounds exciting.
Narc0 Hope MIL's wrist turns out ok and that you get swift movement from occupational health.

I've been in bed most of the week. Chest infection. Managed to get to Mr T today for much needed basics, and had to have a lie down when I got back. There goes my race progress - I couldn't run for 1 min never mind 50 which is what was on my training plan for today.

HUGE YS Leg of Lamb in oven for dinner, and lunch and dinner and..... you get my drift.

No flying done since I was last here - Monday I think. Oh, I lie. I have emptied and loaded the dishwasher and washing machine. The first took me 45mins on Thursday but we'd run out of glasses. DH actually believes I'm ill - I didn't make it out of bed on Thursday at 6am to make him breakfast and a packed lunch! I was obviously recovered by yesterday :p He's a surgeon. No bedside manner.

(((hugs))), sticks and spoons to those in need, and welcome to any newcomers.

Will be back to full flying tomorrow, promise:D

I keep checking my phone (which is only 6" in front of me anyway) but the last I heard was at 4.30 when they were just going into x-ray. I am really concerned as apart from anything else, I'm sure they must be starving. I texted earlier (several times) to see if they wanted any food bringing in but at that time(s), things seemed to be progressing so Mr N didn't think they would be long. There are fairly decent cafes there, but I don't imagine he wanted to leave the waiting room in case they were called; there is a vending machine in the waiting room so hopefully they have got whatever delights that holds. MIL aside, Mr N really cannot afford to lose weight. thanks for all your concerns.

Hope all is well, narc0 xx

My house is looking tidy (not dd room...) although I have a pile of kids books and some clothes to go, I've just had a charity bag through the letter box (bric a brac too, yaay!) so that's good news.

Had a nice chat with my brother in oz earlier- he called me from his mobile  their furniture container docks tomorrow so they should have all their things within the next two weeks so he as sat on a garden chair in their lounge, lol. I remember doing that in my first home :)

Anyway, laundry sorted, DW sorted, swim bag sorted etc. just waiting for shopping to arrive. I've even cleaned the fridge in anticipation. My Saturday nights rock!

Will try for an early night tonight - hoping for a peaceful one <yawn>.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone xx

Good news at last. They came out at 7.30 after a total of 1 doctor seen twice (before and after bloods), nurse for bloods, an orthopaedic doctor to look at x rays. Fortunately no bones are broken; "just" severe bruising to back, coccyx and wrist plus a UTI. Doc said the latter is coincidental, but knowing how coyly she said she fell awkwardly on her "bottom" I wouldn't be too sure. Anyway she now has antibiotics, has been given a cocodomol and needs to rest. I've given her and Mr N soup, a roll, cup of tea and yogurt and now he's taken her home as that is where she wants to be.

An evening in front of a nice film if I can find one I think.

Hello everyone, sending well wishes to everyone. I haven't done any flying today, I've been to work then to the shops, I was meant to be on a night out tonight but I'm home tired & nursing my cold. Tbh I bail out on so many night outs, I'm a homebody really & in the winter I could hibernate.
