The palindrome of pump is pmup.
Nah, that's an anagram.
The nicest palindromic name I know is a little village on the west coast of Scotland - Glenelg.
'Tis where the only ferry north of Mallaig still serving Skye is based. One of the last remaining turntable ferries, when the owner retired a few years ago the village clubbed together to buy it from him and it's now operated as a community enterprise.
There's a location on Mars named (indirectly) after the village, partly because the name is palindromic and the Curiosity rover was intended to pass the location twice.0 -
One that sticks in my mind is where a sign is turned upside down and still reads the same.

What's the worst town in the world? It could be twinned with Uranus.
The Isle of Dogs, or the Canaries, could be twinned with Pluto.,PasturesNew wrote: »One that sticks in my mind is where a sign is turned upside down and still reads the same.

Apparently he made loads and loads of huge donations to various charities over the years.
Of course, I'm sure lots of high-earning pop-stars do. It's nice to hear, though.
Sometimes, when I hear of older statesmen pop-stars bringing out another album or something, I think, why? But then it could well be that they just want to use their fame to raise money for their favourite charities. The taxman would take most of it anyway, if they didn't.(I just lurve spiders!)

Pfft. Feeble excuse. He just didn't fancy you.
Mind you, not surprising now we "know what we know".0 -
Oh, keep forgetting to mention. If anyone has to do a self-assessment tax return and importantly wants any monies outstanding to be included in their tax code, the last day for this is 30th December. After that, you have to pay it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

None to pay for me.
I've lived my life with the "pay it ASAP" mentality, so I always paid my tax and never put it on the next year's code. I always pay my council tax in full on 1 April on the basis "if money's due then pay it all NOW, when you know you've got it.... rather than assuming you'll have it in the future". All bills settled up front/soonest always meant "peace of mind" as things changed across a year; I figure that any amounts already paid are one less thing to worry about when things get tighter.0
