The dreaded lightbulb stalker! :rotfl:Are we sure it isn't just resting? Or stunned? Or has it really expired and shuffled off this mortal coil?
!
A stunned pump.
Hmm.
Hadn't thought of that.
I love this thread!(I just lurve spiders!)

According to Wikipedia, it was a coronary thrombosis that finally saw him off - although he suffered from various conditions associated with smoking, he certainly had had lung cancer and his left lung had been removed about 4 months earlier.
Please don't confuse me with facts. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
And we're into the week where I can't actually do anything except split next year into 72 (I work in 5 day blocks, rather than weeks or months), brainstorm ideas that I can't currently do anything with either and send a few messages.
Nothing interesting to report at all, roll on next Tuesday💙💛 💔0 -
If there's no grey water it automatically uses fresh water, have no fear.
Similarly, if there's too much grey water and not enough flushing going on, the excess grey water gets diverted to the sewer.
But to do all that, it needs a pump. Which is now an ex-pump.
Would the best idea not be to program it to automatically flush in the case of the cistern filling?
A lot more eco friendly too, as presumably there'd always be grey water in there. Just the thought of being watched would probably make most wash their hands.💙💛 💔0 -

Who would be watching?
An automatic flush would mean you couldn't do the 'if it's yellow, let it mellow' thing and save even more water.
That probably wouldn't matter in my house, but in a house with several people, it might.
Touching the flush handle/button isn't the only problem, though. What about the door handle? And everything else.
I would like to see automatic doors at the entrance to public loos.(I just lurve spiders!)

I didn't mean that. What I meant was if it's installed in commercial premises etc, there would be CCTV in the main area presumably, not the toilets for obvious reasons, but it's not so hard to do a process of elimination. An automatic flush would mean you couldn't do the 'if it's yellow, let it mellow' thing and save even more water.

That's a point, too re the handles. I always carry a bottle of alcohol gel in the car, but it's not always possible to get this every time after using the loo.💙💛 💔0 -

Oh, I see!

That's where handbags are quite useful! Trouble is you have to touch your handbag in order to get the gel thing out. Aaaaaargh! :rotfl:
Would be good to have a gel dispenser on the outside of the loos, like they do in hospitals.(I just lurve spiders!)

About 30 years ago I knew of a village pub that had a small statue of a Scotsman in a kilt in the ladies' loos. If you lifted up his kilt to see what was under there it lit a light in the bar so everybody knew you'd looked.0 -
Our loo is seperate to our bathroom and the sink, to manage this we have a bottle of anti bac hand gel in the loo so no worries about germy hands on flushes, door handles etc.
Joe has actually been advised to carry anti bac gel around with him due to his weak immune system. Seems having tried the building up the immune system by him having things hasn't worked so now his doctors are thinking out of the box to try to keep him out of danger and out of hospital!
What it has done for me is to realise that my old thing of carrying on regardless of colds etc, can have a very detrimental impact on others. What is a mild cold for everyone else, could be the cold that kills Joe as his body really struggles to fight them and recover.....we really really hate the common cold season, always on tenterhooks that he is going to come down with something. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
