I've just had a weird crash in my car, we are all OK so don't worry but the car will need bumper and paint work repair...it just surged forward without any feet on pedals at all, very scary but thankfully my reflexes are bloody quick otherwise it could have been a lot worse.

    So pleased you are ok.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Very low impact speed despite the car's best efforts and only into some bushes. Prior to it surging I was almost at a stop so it was only the speed it managed to garner from start of surge to when I finally managed to fight it to stop, unfortunately, in that space was also a row of bushes and I didn't even flatten them, only pushed them.

Was enough to crack the bumper though (think it must have caught on a root or something) and cause scratches from the actual bush. No dents though!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Automatic gearbox perchance?
    It certainly is!

Thought so. They often have a "creep" facility to make hill starts and parking easier by keeping it slightly in drive, needing the brakes to hold the car still - maybe it needs some adjustment or, for some reason, the engine felt it needed some more revs and the gearbox kept up with it. I see you've got it booked in for looking at so hopefully they'll find it.

At least you didn't do like Dad did and ram-raid Tesco - his foot slipped and, when he thought he was stamping on the brake it was actually the gas pedal

Oops! My foot was most definitely pushing very hard on the brake otherwise I would have been ram raiding the library. Still can't get over how even when I had my foot on the brake it was still fighting me to go forward...I've renamed her psycho Priscilla instead of just plain Priscilla.

All but one of our staff, both management and drivers, have arrived with us via recommendation. However, we've run out of relatives, neighbours and friends and have to dip our toes into the murky world of online recruitment. It's scary..... I had one yesterday that in brief had to leave his last job after being threatened by Chinese Triads, had hitchhiked with the Yorkshie Ripper and had to get a bus to Istanbul to get some prescription medicine..... I'm almost scared to open e-mails:eek:

In good news, I had a speeding fine earlier in the year in a temporary zone. Turns out that there was an administrative error and it can;'t be enforced, so i get my £100.00 back and points removed :D
