I fancy a muffin.
I have no muffins; I have crumpets.
Why did I buy crumpets when I could've bought muffins?
But, at the time, I didn't 'fancy' either of them, only got the crumpets as they're a bit of a "stock item/small/easily frozen".
Having said that, if I had muffins I'd then be eggless ... and I'd fancy having poached eggs on toasted muffins ....
So now not sure if it's worse to have crumpets and fancy muffins -or- to have muffins and wish I also had eggs.:A
Woman wins appeal to use dead daughter's eggs

This is just as creepy as the headline sounds. A 60 year old woman wants to give birth to her own grandchildren.
In the circumstances, I think she's wonderful!
I wish her every happiness.
(We can only imagine what it's like to walk in her shoes.)
I'm sooooo pleased!(I just lurve spiders!)

Re Nelly. He must've died or retired.
He had a van with his website signwritten - that website's been allowed to lapse.
He had another domain, with a .net suffix - that's been allowed to lapse.
I don't want to phone him up and say "Hey - is that Nelly? Did ya die?" That'd really p155 him off on a Saturday night.
I'll see if his house is for sale/sold. And trawl the obits.
Maybe he decked somebody ... and has gone daaarrrn.
EDIT:
He's still alive. House not sold. Not in prison. Not bankrupt.
But not "active" online anywhere recently ...
I've got his name, address, telephone number ... I'll find the beggar. He can't hide forever.
Or, I'll just give up as I am not really THAT interested ... and I'll spot something shiny to chase (or remember that cake in the kitchen).
EDIT 2: I'm officially bored of this, so stopping.0 -

Or alternatively you're someone we've known for a bit, but in different places.
Sorry Pyxis you don't get off that easily.
Or alternatively we're all still young, but an internet year is like a dog year. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? This afternoon I offered a lift to a young man with a large back pack. I dropped him off at a local campsite, only about a quarter mile but up a steep hill and just before the heavens opened. He is walking around around Great Britain viaall the National Parksand has only been going a few days. he started in Brighton and is raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation. I offered to pick him up again at 7pm if he wanted to have dinner with us. DD has taken him back to his campsite now. He is fed and watered and phone charged. He told us he had saved up and given up his job to do this. He expect it to take about 7 months. Never went to Uni. Never had time off before. Aged 30. Wants to challenge himself. Good luck to him. Will follow his progress on FB.0

I have eaten so much fondue tonight I actually have a case of the cheese sweats.
Beautiful weather all last week around northern Europe but peeing it down in Switzerland today.
Off to Italy and France next so hopefully the weather cooperates.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
