Are they easy to walk in?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Are they easy to walk in?
Well, although I had platforms in the 70s, they were never quite that high!
Platforms per se weren't hard to walk in, because there wasn't a huge differential between the heel height and the toes.
I expect those 'trainers' wouldn't be too difficult, but might take a bit of getting used to, a bit like learning to walk on wide stilts!
The trouble is that the further removed from the actual ground the sole of your foot is, the less proprioceptive feedback your brain gets, so not good for everyday!
Quite useful for changing light bulbs, though!
Or going to the loo!
Or both!(I just lurve spiders!)

I agree. Walking in platforms was relatively straightforward. Awoken by vivid dreams again.
This time I was in a supermarket at the till and was struggling to find the coins quickly enough to pay - then I switched to being in the back of a cab and it was driving in the wrong direction. It stopped and she wanted £4.30 - and I hardly had that much. I was turfed out on the roadside, but I was aware that I was there/driven away as I'd not been quick enough at the till - and I'd been "driven/dumped" further away by 2-3 miles from the shop when I hadn't wanted a taxi, I had just wanted 30 seconds more to find my money in my bag.
The taxi was light grey and drove off - the taxi driver's name was Elaine and she was "butch".
So there I was 3-4 miles from home, at the roadside, with my 2 bags of shopping and facing a long walk home.
Most bizarre. The distress woke me up.
I suffered with vivid dreams as a child, they kept me awake most nights until I was in my mid teens; in adult-hood the dreams have lessened, but they are always there. Then I just used to wake up and not know why - but now the dreams appear to be back.
One I used to get a LOT was travelling at about 60mph/faster about 2' above the surface of a desolate distant planet. It had a colourless/grey sandy soil... and I was just zooming super fast just above the surface for miles.0 -

A hoverdream! How lovely!
You do have interesting dreams, Pastures! I rarely remember mine. I used to get a lot of anxiety dreams, but I know why I got them. You know, needing to catch a train and suddenly your suitcase goes missing, etc. Or the case is inside, but you can't get the door open, etc. Stuff like that.
One dream I do remember is one I had as a child, and it was a flying dream, and it was wonderful! Being able to fly! I still remember the sensation.
What do you think about the theory that eating some foods makes you dream more? (Or at least, remember the dreams).
The cheese thing seems to have been disproved; I read about a recent study. Apparently, eating Cheshire cheese before you go to sleep gives you nice dreams!
I like Cheshire cheese, so I tried it, and it it did sort of seem to work.
Anyway, the study appeared to disprove the idea that eating cheese at bedtime gives you nightmares.
Pastures, you should write these dreams down......they may be of interest to someone.
Maybe you go astral travelling to these other planets! :j(I just lurve spiders!)
