I struggle to reach the ground with more than tiptoes. I always think "I should get a little footstool", but it's never a priority so it's just always been something that flits through my mind when the problem is most annoying.

I've actually thought about buying a toddler toilet training stool for their loo, the ones they stand on to get onto a toilet....it was pure luxury when my niece was being toilet trained and they brought their one round to my parent's house.

Pyxis - I keep a sort of log. An actual proper bath was over 2 years ago possibly/probably more, I try to shower once a week if I can but it takes lots of rest before and lots of rest after and/or oodles of pain killers. I try not to take it over that amount of time because strip washes really don't do the same job, so at times, I've forced the issue....not the best idea really as it causes lots of dislocations, pain, fatigue and is generally not very nice.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Today, I'll do a short walk round the block with the dogs and bake a cake.

Don't get those two mixed up ... you can probably be arrested for having a cake on a lead in a public place :)

Argos sell them from £57.99 (!!) for their Fantasy Fields Enchanted Woodland Step Stool down to £5.99 for their Little Star step

I don't know whether spending the extra really makes you feel that you are in the woodlands!

The issue is bigger than "a step"... because, as an adult, you have bigger feet and longer legs.... and, for me, I wouldn't need it all the time. Tip toe's fine if you're dashing in/out, the problem occurs when you're spending time in there.

As an adult, it'd be very uncomfortable to have to sit with your feet on a tiny step, unable to really move your feet apart.

Probably a couple of blocks of random wood would suit better :)
Or a whole, proper, "fitted" step surround...

Maybe a wide aerobic exercise step would fit the purpose better.... but then you see the price and think "nah". And, as it's not an issue at the front of your mind, it's a problem that will never be solved as it's simply a fleeting thought while you're using the room of "wish I could reach the floor"....

Some people have exactly what you describe, Pastures. It's supposed to be healthier to poo in a slightly squatting position with your knees raised.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Walk done with the dogs. The villagers probably wouldn't be surprised if they saw me with cake on a lead. They think I'm crackers already. Best to keep it that way.

I have one..... it's called a Squattie Potty, and it fits around the base of the loo.
When you need to use it you just push it forward a bit with your foot.
It is just like squatting, feet apart, except you are sitting in the loo.

There are two heights, depending on the height of your loo and how creaky your knees are. My loo height was right on the boundary of the two heights, so I got the taller one, but I think I should have got the lower one, because of my knees. I can use the one I got, though.

I'll see if I can find a pic online....don't really want to photograph my loo! :D

    Edit....

She's got her knees together, but ideally you should keep them apart, (for the optimum defecation thing).

When you've finished, you just push it back against the loo pedestal. If someone doesn't want to use it, they can use the loo normally without needing to move it.

Plus, she's got her trousers on, which is not ideal for the optimum defecation thing.
