Apply to the court in writing for a cost order. Litigant in Person rate is £19 per hour, plus cost of stationery and postage, plus (if appropriate) day off from work (capped at £95).

Do some forum research here, PePiPoo and Google. I'm not an 'expert' in this area, but many winning cases have been awarded costs against the PPC by the Judge. You really should have had your cost schedule ready prepared to hand to the Judge at the end of your case, but now send it in pronto - after checking on the process, as above.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

How I beat UKPC for mulitple parking "invoices".

After the case the representative said I was lucky because he feels the judge was on my side and probably has issues with UKPC already. I laughed and smile and done my victory walk away from him!

    Brilliant, well done to you.

I think the UKPC rep was right, you won before you even entered the court, the judge just went through her formalities.

Is it possible that the County Court system are now on an alert regarding UKPC.
Especially as they recently placed a hold on a UKPC case with no known date to continue.

We will be seeing a lot more of these I feel with UKPC.

The next batch could well be BWLEGAL the way they are going.

This is danger point for UKPC as they will never know what the next court case will bring as they are currently wasting court time and it seems a key is ...
how can the court be sure that UKPC are telling the truth especially with their history

Rupert, the boss of UKPC, should now take stock of himself and his company which is now fully documented on forums and the media as not being in the interests of the public or indeed the companies who employ them

    As Umkomaas says ^^^

You could send a quick letter to the court straight away, referencing the case and respectfully asking for the Judge to award your reasonable expenses in attending. You can say you had your costs noted but as it was a fraught experience for you and you were so relieved at defending the vexatious claim successfully, the costs were not handed to the Judge on the day. So here is your costs list and as UKPC failed to conduct their case reasonably and indeed, were vexatiously pursuing you without evidence of parking, without photo evidence of signs and without even their 'witness' bothering to attend, you consider the claim was vexatious and ask for your full costs in the matter to be considered by the Judge.

You could phone the court in the morning and ask who your Judge was, so you can address your note to her in person.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Worst case scenario is she says bog off, wasn't winning enough...! But truthfully, you should be able to claim your costs for attending, especially if you can show evidence that you lost wages or holiday as a result, and spent money on traveling there.

Do as coupon-mad says, you are ON the winning side anyway.

UKPC, just like school bullies need to be put in check.

UKPC needs to be kicked out of the BPA FOR GOOD
  • Hi anthony I'm in the exact same situation as you from the same uni. However I have not received a county court letter. They have just sent me a letter before court from the solicitor service representing them, do you have any advice?
  • I'm in the exact same situation as Anthony from from the same uni. However I have not received a county court letter. They have just sent me a letter before court action from the solicitor service representing them, asking £960 or they will take legal action. I haven't accepted liability for the parking but I also told them that their signage forbidding and i wouldnt be able liable to pay it. They then sent me transcripts from july 1st 2016 from the somduth peenith case, where circumstances were similar and UKPC won. I offered £350 without prejudice to cost and not accepting liability for parking their, but to avoid going to court. They declined the offer and asked for £860 to settle by 3/3/16. I have yet to respond as i cannot pay it and dont know what to do
    do you have any advice?

(correct me if I'm using this thread wrong, I've never used it before)
