as I understand the situation, you have already put in your skeleton (holding) defence so bargepole`s advice was correct so far

and reading the parking pranksters court guide would be a good starting point for your full defence which comes later

Hi guys, its been a while.

Since I got my letter about my court date being set at 8th July 2016 I haven't heard anything since from them. I thought I would because I know UKPC needed to pay for the court hearing and failure to do would result into an automatic win for me.

Is it normal to hear from the court again???

Have you tried ringing the court to see if the case is still listed?

No. The ball was in your court and the claimant's.

Have you complied with the Court Direction to send the Court and UKPC your witness statement (and your skeleton defence)? You MUST get this to them not later than 14 days before the hearing - i.e. THIS WEEK AT THE LATEST. Here is an easily-Googled explanation of a witness statement:

...the Court papers tell you that/bargepole's post tells you that too...I hope you haven't done what moe did and not realised? At least you have a couple of days!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you read bargepole's post you'd know the witness statement is signed and dated by you...

Today I have been sent a witness statement from SCS LAW. It's a massive file full of pictures of my vehicle (even inside) , letter, reminder letters and the parking charges themselves.

I can't lie to you but it does look worrying now after hearing that they only win 1 in 100000. This looks quite strong..

    Is that true?

Bearing in mind they have to pay the court fees plus the defendant's allowable expenses plus their own expenses for travelling to the defendant's local court every time they lose, then this looks a doubtful statistic!

What do you mean? What have you misunderstood? They take 1 in several thousand PCNs issued overall across the country, to court claim stage. No-one said they win 1 in 100,000 because they don't take 100,000 to court! Think about it, that's HUGE in terms of numbers, they only try a few. They lose some, they win some. They don't care.

More worrying is if you haven't posted your witness statement and skeleton defence printed out, to the court and the claimant/their solicitor, yet...they must be served with it (RECEIVE it) before 14 days before the hearing.

The bumpf you have there is their case evidence, like you should have sent THEM by now to show your side, your defence!

And it is your job to pore over their so-called evidence and stop being so damn impressed by it just because it is a 'massive file' with letters and pics (what did you expect them to show?). Come on, look at the photos, are they faked? Maybe the same cars in the background when the pics are supposedly timed hours or days apart?

What about the pics of signs, is the £100 charge READABLE in LARGE letters? Open your eyes and LOOK at the evidence instead of thinking, 'wow that looks impressive'.

I can do this all tonight and have it sent by tomorrow morning... 14 days before my court hearing hasnt arrived yet.

My skeleton defence is my defence to fight against them to why I think I shouldnt be prosecuted. Correct? Could I gather everything I made from PART 18 and First Defence into one defence and use it?

Yes the pictures they sent me are very poorly taken. Some of them are just a dark background with just a date from the camera. My license plate is blurred out and its hardly visible to prove it is my car( even though I know it is). The £100 isn't in LARGE writting. Could I add all of this in my witness statement? The photos they taken and the sign. I can't much think about the anything else wrong with the sign other than that.
