It's so agonising with our pets as they can't tell us what's wrong too! Mrs SJ reckons I have more sympathy for the dog than I do the kids!

I haven't got much of a maternal instinct and much prefer animals to children, and in many ways my cats are my babies - except I can leave them unattended during the day and not get prosecuted!

She's had another injection of antibiotics but a different type this time and we've got some oral antibiotics to try and give her at home starting from tomorrow morning. She's going in on Friday morning for dental cleaning/surgery and they're going to put her on a drip as well because she's a bit dehydrated. We've been given some high calorie cat food and advised to mix it with water and try and syringe feed her to get some food in her system and to de-worm her again as well.
She's very tender at some points in the mouth but her breath isn't that bad - extremely horrendous breath in cats can be a sign of mouth cancer or something particularly nasty. We've also been horrible parents and have shut the bedroom door so she can't keep hiding under the beds. I think she's finally settled down and is now sat on my blanket on George after wandering the house wondering why her sanctum is inaccessible.
I am now going to go and have a look at bank stuff and see if I can sell my old ipad - hubby is currently trying to replace the cracked screen with a new one for me!
  • Good luck replacing the screen, I have heard that it is a very tricky process!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Hubby made a start in it and was sounding angry so I came upstairs to stay out of his way. He carried on shouting and swearing but eventually got it done. Should be able to get £72 from music m@gpie - which will get me to the magic £500 for the mortgage!

I've well and truly screwed myself over. Managed to forget 3 antidepressants in about 16 days and now it's caught up with me. Yesterday was atrocious, today's not been much better until now and I'm taking tomorrow off work again. *sigh* I'm moving them upstairs so I'm much more less likely to forget them than when they're in the kitchen. Good news is I still get paid - I don't have the 3 waiting days, which is nice.

Hubby fixed the cracked screen on my iPad but think he managed to damage a connection somewhere and I couldn't turn it off! Home screen still works but it just won't such off. So I sent it to the magpie with a handwritten note apologising and saying I wasn't trying to swindle them out of money :D Fingers crossed I'll be able to get £34. If not I get a paltry £6.80! But it's free money I suppose.
Won £6.85 on Eurovision at the weekend and put that on Germany eachway to reach the final of the Euros and should get about £20 back.
Creeping up towards the £500 but still about £65 away

Today was not as atrocious. Decided last night that I wouldn't be going to work today and let mum know. I had to ask if anyone was mad at me and if I was in trouble - just my anxiety making me worry. Woke up this morning and I felt okay but I've had a bit more anxiety today. Been very compulsive in some respects making sure the bowls are all lined up perfectly after emptying the dishwasher and little things like that. I have noticed I'm becoming a bit more obsessive about positioning things but as long as it isn't interfering in my life or causing distress it's not an issue. I am keeping an eye on it though.
Two regular days off work now and am hoping the anxiety will naff and I'll be back to normal on Friday. Unless something disastrous happens between now and then I'll be going in on Friday. I only need to do 5-7 hours so if I'm feeling a bit off I can leave at a reasonable time.
Just finished my audio file and my eyes are very tired so I'm off to bed now, where I will probably read for another hour :p

Hope you're feeling less anxious now x Can you associate your a-ds with something else you do so you're less likely to forget them?(eg: years ago I used to keep my pill packet on top of my knickers so when I got dressed on a morning I'd take one (as I was a bit useless otherwise and could go 3 days without taking one!:o)

    ((hugs))
    xx

That's exactly what I've done! I've moved them upstairs and put them on top of the dresser so when I get dressed I know to take them. Of course, there are days when i might not get dressed until nearly midday but I still put a pair of knickers on every single day so it's working well so far. Went back to work on Friday and ended up having to help out screening client's downstairs so talk about back in at the deep end. I was fine though and am glad I took the few days off.

Went out on Wednesday night to do a 5K race - the second in a series of 6 I have signed up for. I hadn't done any running in 2/3 weeks so I wasn't expecting much. Anyway, as soon as I got there I felt better and I did it in 39.09 (gun time) and came last by 3 minutes. But you know what? Don't care. I did it. I always used to say I just don't want to come last but actually there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just getting more value for money on my entrance fee :D

Thank you very much! Got a 4 mile race on the 8th June and would like to be prepared for that one. So will try and go to park run on Saturday even though I will be visiting a friend in Leeds. I'm not sure whether Chloe can actually get up that early! Also just been out for a 20 minute run. Lots of walking but my lungs are still a bit...unused to exercise. Think I did just over a mile and a half.

Money wise it's very squeaky bum time. Get paid on Friday so will just have to wait till then. Frustrating because I'm only £40 away from £500 but I know there is no wiggle room right now. Only got a quarter of a tank and am hoping it will stretch me to Friday, pretty sure my gym DDcomes out tomorrow. Mum owes me £24 but am trying to do without that because if I can that go straight to the mortgage pot. However, I am on target to earn the most yet from my audio transcription and still have 2 shifts to so before month end so fingers crossed.

    Update on Skip for the faithful cat followers on here. She seems to be doing okay. Still very skinny but she is eating. I gave her some cat treats over a week ago and she wolfed them down so she must be hungry even though she wasn't eating what we were putting down. So we bought Whiskas, Purina and Iams and she's eating those and drinking. As far as I'm aware she hasn't been sick since the day after we bought her to the vets. She doesn't seem to be putting much weight on but we haven't weighed her and it's had to tell. I imagine it will take a bit longer to put back on than it did to fall off her. Think she might be "adjusting" to the new dry food as there are some rear end issues and I'll have to change my duvet cover before I go to bed. Bless her, but she's a mucky kitty sometimes :rotfl;
