  • I've got to ask... what are these new farting techniques you've discovered? I mean you can't reinvent the wheel :rotfl:

If you discreetly pull the cheeks apart, it comes out as a very slight "Pfffttt" sound rather then a full on trouser trump.

Day one. Do it loud, do it proud.

    Absolutely!!

Some people find burping insulting, some dislike breaking wind.. but it is a perfectly normal, natural thing to do.. everyone does it!! Personally, I find walking about with bare feet the worst thing ever.. or shirtless.. gimme farts and burps any day!!

My OH practically rattles the windows, our 3 daughters are exactly the same!! I tend to go for the more subtle approach.. silent and deadly.. and blame the cat! lol.. Actually if it's an eye-waterer I fess up with pride hahaha.

    Family motto..

That is very true, however with lack of sound its easy to blame it on other things, or even look at your partner as if to say "was that you?".

Fortunately with my current partner, they have been odorless. I remember my previous partner nipping to the loo and coming back in the bedroom and exclaiming "Oh my god, it smells of bum in here". Possibly due to the Indian takeaway we had that evening. Not brave enough yet to have the same occurrence.

Pretty much as per the title of the thread - How long do you have to wait when you've started seeing someone before it becomes acceptable to fart in front of them?

    Depends how hot you are.

You soon find out if it is too soon.

:rotfl: I think I'll turn down that offer of dinner at your house! :p Although I could bring my gas mask! :rotfl:

Seriously though; I don't see how it can be construed as horribly disrespectful, as you can't help it.

That's very true. Suppose it goes back to the old adage of "I wouldn't kick her out of bed for farting"

bizarrely none of them smell.. they are all loud but not smelly.. I have one day a month, the day before AF turns up when I am disgusting.. I do usually try to let them loose away from noses because I don't want to smell it so I don't see why others would..
