I have a few times - never got out of the car though, never slippers (can't drive in them) and would draw the line at shopping in Tescos in them - very popular around here it seems.

Personally it just smacks of laziness to me. If i could manage to get dressed to leave the house when severely depressed then there's no bloody excuse. Granted as soon as i got back in i'd change back into pjs.... :o but i wouldn't go outside in them. My mum never took us to school in pjs, but then she actually walked us to school instead of being lazy and driving the short distance. Even when she gave up work to look after my siblings she'd still always get dressed. It set an example.

I gave an example a working mum who does it.. so that deflates your prejudiced argument.. AND... I've seen dads in tartan loungepants too, one is a prison guard which I believe counts as work.. its not just mums.. shocking I know!

And you're very knowledgeable on day time TV for someone who looks down on those who watch it... I don't even know who or what any of those are bar the news,
I read a couple of bits online occasionally, ones not aimed at 5 year olds too!.. and maltesers, you don't put in a bowl.. it creates washing up..

So.. bikinis (ie underwear) and shorts your bum cheeks hang out of, no underpants on the men with their skimpy shorts, camel toe flesh toned leggings, and shirtless men are all fine but a pair of lounge pants is not?? There is something very wrong with people .. but I'm entertained, alas I have to break a sweat loading the DW.. I'd brandish a duster but I don't own one.

Yeah SURE you don't know any of these daytime programmes...;)

yes, had you bothered reading before commenting you would know that.

no they aren't 'all against me' I'm just the only one still sat here (I am actually working on an order so not doing nothing) .. but its so amusing.. but even if they were.. I don't care.. I will still wear exactly what I please, when I please.. because the opinion of others is so utterly irrelevant in most circumstances.

I am right.. for me.. that is all I'm really interested in..

It's ok, I'll be bored soon and leave you all to your intolerances, prejudices and bile.. my attention span isn't very long.

Yeah SURE you are at work 'doing an order.' ;)

You'll have to excuse me, my eyes are tired - could you perhaps refer me to the post in this thread where somebody said it was OK to do the school run in a bikini?

Unfortunately Roz, Pigpen won't be able to do this because NO-ONE said that they see women at the school in a bikini except Pigpen herself.

Trouble is, she admitted very early on in the thread (post 19.) that she goes to the school in her jammies and slippers, and now that she realises that 95% of the people on here not only disagree with her point of view, but also think it's gross and lazy and slovenly, she has got to keep defending herself, even if it means saying she has seen all these things, (like women in bikinis at the school,) and then making out others have said it.

yep.. I got up.. took off my nightie, put on my comfy pj's and took children to school.. most adults I know sleep naked, pjs are slobbing in the house clothes not sleepwear!

Frankly I don't even wear pyjamas around the HOUSE once I have woken up! Who DOES that, apart from lazy slovenly folk?! Get dressed FGS!

    I do !!

They are cosy and comfortable and I don't do it when we have visitors.

I may feel PJs aren't appropriate for the school run but I certainly don't think anyone can dictate what people should wear in their own homes - That is ridiculous !!

Some people choose to wander around naked in their own homes too- so long as there are no children or horses around to frighten - then why not ?

Ah, got to admit to doing that one sometimes. I prefer to call them lounge pants though! :p

I don't do it often during the day because quite often I'm out, but once I'm back in for the night I'll change into them if I'm not going back out again and I'm not expecting visitors. After all, it's my house, I'll wear what I want!

If I need to pop back out again for anything though I'll get changed back into outdoor clothes again. Some people might think it's ok to pop down to Spar or Tescos in their jim jams and slippers, but not me.
  • Pjs on the school run? Of course, only with a pair of slippers. Straight home to watch Jezza and a snooze on the sofa

Ok....i admit i am guilty of that. Once i get home from work i like to change into my pjs as they're much more comfortable than what i'm wearing during the day. Plus i have enough pairs that i could wear a clean pair every day for a fortnight :o

I don't understand those people who get up and then get dressed in their pyjamas. It's no harder to throw on a pair of jeans and a jumper or t-shirt, and far more presentable should you be taking your children to school, answering the door to a caller, or (in the case of the woman who lives opposite) nipping to the corner shop for your cigs ...
