So... who's done the school run in pyjamas?

I do think it puts you in a different frame of mind. If I stay in my pjs, then I just want to laze about and don't have the motivation to do anything. But if I change into day clothing, then it puts me more in the right frame of mind.
I don't mind slobbing about in my pjs on a Sunday (and sometimes a Saturday) though as that's a day of rest! :rotfl:0 -
I did drive to the Indian in my pjs but someone else actually went in! I've also driven to collect oh from night out with the boys....and prayed on both occasions that the car didn't break down.
I knew one mum who dropped her son off at the local Remembrance Sunday parade wearing her pjs .....on more than one occasion.0 -

Now, I'm the opposite - If I'm going to do any housework, I'll always do it before I get dressed. It's so much easier to wash jammys than proper clothes, bending and stretching is more comfortable and I prefer to wash after cleaning because you always seem to feel grubby afterwards.0 -

Yes I agree.
I do the same.0 -
Neither me or Mrs G have any jimjams, so doing anything in them would be difficult.
The school run would be pointless anyway. We don't have any children.0 -
I saw a lady walking in front of me the other day wearing a nightie and a duffle coat over the top with boots on. She must have been in her 50's, unwashed grey hair etc.
Sadly not only could she not be bothered to get dressed she couldn't be bothered to go to the toilet either. She paused, shook her leg, dropped a turd on the pavement and carried on walking
Yes bit of a step down from the lazy parent on the school run and I am hoping she was mentally unwell to do that but all the same if people can be too lazy to get dressed in the morning and it is now socially acceptable then society needs to pick up its standards again.I am a Mortgage Adviser

pjs are slobbing in the house clothes
I agree, Pigpen, pyjames should not be worn outside to take the children to school, to attend parents evening, (seriously, have people not changed out of them all day?), to attend a school play or to pop to the shops.
A particularly bad move is to tuck trouser ends of bunny/cat/bear covered pyjamas in to a pair of Ugg boots (doesn't matter if they're genuine or not, still not a good look). It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -
My late MiL used to regularly drive her husband to catch early morning flights wearing just a dressing gown (her not him;)) until the car broke down on the way home.....:rotfl:You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

I only wear nightie/pjs in bed. I shower and get dressed before I go downstairs. Maybe if I had more glamorous nightwear I would lounge around in it.Sell £1500

The only time I ever stay in my nightwear is when I'm not feeling well or confined to bed. I hate not getting dressed, it feels like I haven't started the day properly. Different strokes and all that.haras_nosirrah wrote: »I saw a lady walking in front of me the other day wearing a nightie and a duffle coat over the top with boots on. That does sound like mental health issues, though having said that, people have been known to drop turds in public. A glance at the People of Walmart website gives an interesting view of the sort of things some people think is perfectly acceptable to do/wear when they're out and about :eek:left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense
