Spent £19.58 at Mr T. All YS - 'Saved' £15.77. Even the Gammon I went in for originally was 1/2 price, and I've frozen the rest for use in the next couple of weeks. A good 20+ meals in there.
UFO for dinner tonight. I really need to defrost and catalogue the freezer again. Does anyone else have problems with stickers falling off freezer bags. How do you stop this? It's very frustrating having single portions of 'something'. I ended up with lentil chilli, DH had chicken and lentil curry.
Took out loads of fish for making chowder tomorrow, and offcuts off the last gammon joint for ham, kale and lentil soup. We have guests for the rugby on Sunday, and the soup will do for the rest of the week as well.
Will adjust signature. And update freezer list!Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
FurryBeastOz I write directly onto the freezer bags.
I've updated my signature, hopefully that's the shopping done until next Thursday or Friday. I will have to look at my meal plan though as one DS won't be here from next Wednesday until Monday and I've meal planned for us all.
My cupboards are looking so much tidier now that I've used up some stocks. It's much easier to see what I need.
Have a great weekend.

First shop of February done, been busy at work and couldn't face trip to Ald! So got Mr T to deliver. I was very good and only bought essentials and bits I can't get in Ald! Spent £44 which for me and an online shop is very good. I have found since doing this challenge I've really been a lot more organised with meal planning and I don't want to go over budget so am strict with myself. We are still eating very well and don't skimp on other bits either. Even my mum has commented so praise indeed! DD is also astute shopper and has Lid! Opens er at the bottom of her road, before nearest shop was Sainsbobs, she said her food bill has gone down by 2/3rds. Just need to train DS up now as he's off this year and needs a bit more of a OS nudge.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Forgot to update for last week. We managed to eat our way through pretty much every last bit of food in the house so had to restock from scratch - spent £71.90 (including drinks, pet food and cleaning products) taking me to £120.63 for the month so far. Will be doing this week's food shop tonight but pretty much just need fresh things and Pepsi so that will hopefully come under £20.February Grocery Challenge - £120.63/1500

Well I went to farmf**ds, Mr T's and the C*-*p yesterday. used vouchers in all the stores and still managed to spend £61.66 more than what I spent on my main grocery shop for the week.
I bought 2 24 can packs in farmf**ds which should last us ages and will make trips out cheaper if we take our own drinks. Also stocked up on cake bars and snacks for the boys as they have something on the way home from school. Got loads of reduced priced baby food in Mr T's ready for when the baby needs it. The C*-*p was probably the best shop, as I got fresh fruit, ham, yogurts and a meal for tea last night all reduced as well as the baby's formula milk.
Just got to make the snacks last the rest of the month so I don't go over my budget. We're 10 days into the budget and I've already spent £173.99/£300.
The freezer is full to bursting though so should be just fresh fruit and veg, milk, bread, cheese, ham and yogurts to buy.Grocery Challenge 2024

Afternoon, it's been a busy week here - my feet haven't touched the ground since Monday. Friday saw a small top-up spend of £9.37 on veg mainly and some RTC meat. Monday will see the next big spend and I'm trying to get my mealplan done so all should be well. Weather is dreary and so windy so going out or gardening is not going to happen!
I had a portion of my Mexican 2 Bean & Chorizo soup for lunch. I think I may be getting DH into soup as he's going to have an outstanding tin of tomato soup we've got in the cupboard! If I can get him onto homemade now...
Off to update my sig. Hope everyone is keeping well and **hugs** to those in need.
