    Evening all

DH went to L*dl - nearest discounter - for milk, as we were running out and came back with chicken (it looked nice), pack of peppers (they were on offer) and two milk. So not wasted but not planned = £8.57 added to siggie :o

Have to go shopping the morrow, mainly A*di, and the library.

Hope you all having a great weekend and staying warm and dry

DH did the Aldo£14/Sains£20 weekly shop on Friday eve as I was on a late and rostered for the weekend working. We have meal planned up till Tues only as we're struggling a bit. Im getting a bit tired of bolognaise and veg for lunch and white fish/veg/rice for dinner - we've given ourselves a bit of a break from that for a few days but it comes in at a bit more. We had to top up a few store cupboard staples also.

Popped to the butchers for lamb neck bones for £1.23 which will get slow cooked for stock and the meat pickings - which provide a suprising amount - portion me up for 3+ lamb currys.

Just sorting a home delivery for next week. Going to try and use up store cupboard stock as they are fit to bursting thanks to Approved Foods.

I want to have a go at making bread sticks. The children get through a lot of these but at 69p per box it can add to the grocery bill and since I have a lot of flour in stock, I'm going to make a batch up following this recipe:

  • Anyone else get angry when their DH goes shopping and forgets to get a receipt? :D I have had to wait for it to show on my bank statement before I could update.

    £55.71 added.

Although I don't really need anything else, I'm tempted by the Mr W £30 off 1st shop plus £10 cashback from TCB, I would make a £100 shop £60 so I could do a lot of stocking up.
Does anyone shop at Mr W? What's the quality like? X

Happy Sunday All, just getting organised for the week ahead.

About to head to the kitchen to go through cupboard to see what we have and what we can use up for meals this week. Hoping to spend no more than £10 - £15 this week as we are over budget anyhow.
  • Hi everyone :)

I'm back for another go... Will start at £220 for the month and aiming to reduce by £5 a month to get it down to £150.

Hasn't been so bad so far in Feb as a nasty cold has taken away my appetite! Silver linings eh xxx
