  • Feeling very pleased with myself.weekly shop at Al£I was £30.52. Meal plans are working a treat and doing shopping list in advance is great. £10 saved this week so roll on next week when hopefully will be able to keep up the good work.
    Will try and factor in some nsd this week for other stuff no grocery related!
    GC = £150.58/£250
  • Silly question but is there a list of abbreviations used on here. Some are obvious but others not so much. Thanks

  • Hi All, I haven't posted here this moth yet as I have totally taken my eye off the ball and the result is that my planned budget for February for food is not totally gone. I have two weeks left until I head away for a holiday so my plan is to add £50 to the food budget and start from there.

    Plans for food over the next few days are:
    Today - Steak and roast potatoes with veg
    Saturday - HM Potato soup with pudding (probably apple crumble)
    Sunday - as Saturday.
    Monday - Chilli con carne from freezer
    Tuesday - pizza from freezer.

    I may do a Mr T visit tonight to see what reduced bits I can pick up that will do for meals for the rest of the time.

    Really annoyed at myself but need to dust myself off and get back on track.

    Just back from L**ls and have stocked us up with loads of fruit and veg, plus a small joint of pork for a Sunday roast, low fat yogurts for OH, a block of Parmesan, bleach and muesli for a total of £19.23.

    Am now chopping three packs of 59p peppers (3 good sized peppers in each pack) and 3 packs of leeks to freeze. Lots of freezer space as we've been eating our stockpile; and peppers are usually a lot dearer, I use loads in cooking so they are a brilliant buy for me. They were both on my list too :)

    I am really enjoying this, and am finding we are eating a lot better as I'm sticking to my meal plan which I have struggled with in the past.
