Afternoon, first major shop of the month done at Mr M today, and we needed more than usual as I had to pick up loo rolls and I've been running the freezer down a bit to make room for some more batch cooking I've got to do. So, a grand total of £28.90 spent today.
Tonight's tea will be Reggae-Reggae Chicken Wraps (made using the bottled sauce as a marinade). DH always looks forward to it. Stay safe in this wind, everyone.
I'm off to update my sig now.

Hi all.
Big big shop today at Mr t, aldeee and bnm. Spent over half the monthly budget but have bought most of the meat for the month. We were also run out of a few toiletries so stocked up on those. Next week should just be milk and fruit and veg. I KNOW I can still do it!0 -

DH spent £3.20 on 2 jars of salsa to make a new chicken dish he had seen on face-ache book. He was so keen to try it he has actually made it, it is very rare he cooks.
Although the salsa wasn't cheap it has used cupboard ingredients and a tin of beans I have had in the back of the cupboard since I don't know when. There will be enough for DH lunch tomorrow as well and it is a healthy dish as I am determined to eat better this month.
Defrosted some bacon medallions to jazz up a jar of pasta bake that has also been lurking in the larder for months.
We did well on our freezer use up last month so I am looking to reduce the cupboard stores this month.
I have booked a Mr T delivery for the 11th and will aim to buy only milk, bread, ham and fruit this weekend.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Take care, its blowing a hoolie here too!
I splashed out on a Dolce Gusto Mini coffee machine! (not from grocery budget!)
Does anyone know the cheapest place for the pods? Thanks. :coffee:
