Beanie don’t ever feel the need to share the white stuff. I’m happy to walk on it when it’s first fallen but that’s it - evil slippery stuff....:eek:when did I turn into such a killjoy - the children love it:o
Well I’ve been in the kitchen most of the day ( in between sitting and resting) icing the cakes - I couldn’t roll the icing so I’ve been giving dh instructions - I’ve found a simple design of baubles that won’t take any piping so I should be ok finishing them - simple yet effective. We don’t make a bad team
If I still feel like this tomorrow I’m staying off work. I can’t get warm - I should have been going for drinks with old work friends but I cancelled - I want to get right for going to dds.
My littlest gdd is 2 today - have just FaceTimed her but wish I could give her a real birthday hug. Not long till I see them though.January spends - £587.580 -
Hope you are on the mend really soon
xx

I’ve given in 1 cake finished but the other 3 are only flat iced - I’ll finish them another day - I’m all done in....sitting with a can of pop and really enjoying it....I very nearly succumbed to a fruit cider but I’ve eaten lots of gorgeous cake trimmings as my treat for today. Something from SW must be registering somewhere in my noggin.....January spends - £587.580

Think I’ve realised why I can’t get warm - dh has been fiddling with the controls in the boiler......I’ve turned them back to where they were and hey presto the radiators are much warmer.....so now the house is up to temperature I’ve turned the heating completely off.....once it’s warm it stays warm but it just wasn’t warming up at all - mmmmm- think he’s on some energy saving mission which is fine but he totally denies it and there’s only the 2 of us in the house......he’s going to drive me mad when he’s off all the time ( in the nicest possible way of course )January spends - £587.580

Had a couple of days off work as couldn’t shake this virus off. No point passing it to everyone in time for Christmas. Had hoped to go in today but decided to give it another day and go in tomorrow. Think it’s going into my sinus now so still dosing myself up.
I’ve had a bit of a clean up in my kitchen though - taking me forever and having more rests than anything else. Fridge is now sparkingJanuary spends - £587.580 -
:rotfl::rotfl: I don’t believe it.......I found my teeth:D:D
I picked my rucksack up from the kitchen floor that I take my dinner in to work, to get it ready for tomorrow. There laughing at me from the net on the side of my bag that I often put my flask were my gnashers :rotfl:
So £259 for a new set and I’ve found the old ones. But how many people saw my teeth on full view in the side of my bag for the world to see and me with a gummy smile 😊. But they hurt so much when I put them back in- which is why I took them out in the first place. So new ones really are needed after all.....only me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:January spends - £587.580 -

I’m loads better - heading back to work tomorrow- we must be one of the last schools to break up....Friday. I felt very self indulgent staying off but after spending all Christmas and new year poorly last year I was determined it wasn’t going to happen again so stayed in the warm resting and my body has responded well to the rest and being dosed with olbas and cold/ flu tablets. Plus I didn’t want to share for Christmas with my work buddies.
So I’m behind with my schedule now after being poorly and will have to visit my brother tomorrow evening with his grandkids presents - only a token pressie of a book each but it shows I was thinking of them. Then need to call at dh sisters to do the same there. They are at opposite areas of the big town....but if Santa is to leave the presents at various kids houses it needs doing before weekend when they visit respective kids houses.
The cakes have been delivered to various folk by dh and they were delighted and they looked ok considering I did them with virtually 1 hand and dhs help. So on Sunday I’ll attempt to roll out pastry for mince pies to take to dds with us and make a sponge cake with a Christmas fairy on top (I’ve already made that from trimmings from icing)on for the gks as they won’t eat Christmas cake. All cards are written and posted. I’m not doing any at work this year as I’d rather put into the fund for a little girl who has been really poorly having chemo and other nasty but necessary treatments. Pressies are all bought and mainly wrapped. I just need to buy a few food bits to have in for when we get back from dds and this time next week it’ll all be over......
We’ve been eating chicken all week here. On Monday at work we had a buffet where we all take something in. I usually cook a couple of chickens - I to slice up and take in and 1 for us whilst the oven is on. It works out much cheaper than buying cold meats or party food and I know I’m getting something sw friendly. So I cooked both my chickens and didn’t go in on Monday and my freezer is full from my shopping trip to the market a few weeks back....so it’s been chicken with everything and I’ve really enjoyed it.January spends - £587.580
