Well my sil was ok - just couldn’t be bothered........I’m half livid half sorry for her because I suspect she has some sort of depression. I’m done though - I’ll go occasionally if dh wants to but that’s about it. Final straw in a long long line of stuff I’m afraid. I feel for my dh....

I went to SW this morning 1/2 on again....but that’s only a lb over Christmas and New Year I’m more than happy with that. I went for a swim today - I managed 10 lengths as it hurts my arm - but that was better than sitting doing nothing. If I can get back to that 3 times a week I’ll be one happy lady.

I’ve just watched something called Care on catchup. Best thing I’ve seen in a long time - very powerful telly:eek:

Belated Happy New Year to you and your family Milann!

Your Christmas sounded lovely with your DGC, together with your catch up with your friends.

Sorry to hear your SIL has messed you around again. It's very rude and unthoughtful of her, especially as you say your OH runs around after her. Perhaps she'll realise now that you are making a stand.

Well done for getting back into your swimming. You have spurred me on to making a decent walk tomorrow.

And I'm so pleased that you found your teeth!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A couple of friends I used to work with came around today. - we’d thought about going out but I said I’d cook - I’m trying hard to stay on track with SW plus I have an empty house in the daytime and they have teenage kids around:eek::rotfl: so I did roast chicken, roasted veg, chips cooked in the actifry and wraps. Nothing fancy but it was so tasty followed by fruit salad, meringue and fromage frais. So all on plan - it cost me the price of the food but I gained wine and flowers - I fed 5 ( there was enough for tea for dh and myself )for not much more than I’d have paid for a meal and drink for just me at the pub. Plus I’ve stayed on track.... and we put the world to rights too....

One of the ladies has had a tough few years - double mastectomy, hysterectomy, chemo then just as she was getting over all that a perforated appendicitis and sepsis. She’s tall and has always been big....but she has decided to loose a bit of weight with SW, she never looked ‘fat’ just a big lady. Wow I was amazed when I saw her - she has lost nearly 5 stone and looks totally different. She’s taking the world by the horns and enjoying every minute.....food for thought..

I tried my new soup maker today too after making stock from the chicken bones. So we had a starter of chicken, leek and potato soup at teatime - so far I’m impressed

My arm is driving me mad through at the moment after chopping the veg but I’ve enjoyed myself immensely even though it took me 3 times longer than it used to.

Back to work on Monday - I could happily stay off - remind me of this when I moan I’m bored when I’m off after my arm op

No plans for the weekend yet - just see what unfolds

Well we walked into our local town today - got my hearing aids overhauled at specsavers, did some bits at the bank and bought a couple of little cuddles to send to gks as they both have chickenpox. Walking back we called into the local theatre which has an Art Deco cafe - the head waiter in bow tie and tails, waitresses in little aprons and headband style hat - there’s a couple of paid staff but it’s mainly run by volunteers and profits go to funding the theatre. I ended up having an afternoon tea - it put the famous place I went to in York to shame (the food equalled it but was a fraction of the price) i had a sandwich, scone with jam and clotted cream and tea made from tea leaves - China cup and saucer, and crusts cutt of sandwiches :p It was £8.50 but the meat was half an inch thick...there was a more expensive option at £15 which was very similar to the one we paid nearly £30 at famous one in York...I really enjoyed it - totally unplanned but I’d walked 5 miles there and back and around the town.....so hopefully not too much damage done. Soup and jacket potato for tea to make up for it.

I’m sitting looking through my window into the back garden for the last night of my Christmas garden lights - we have them on the fences so we can see them and I love the brightness of them.....I’ll miss them tomorrow. I always think this time of year is the bleakest - roll on lighter evenings.

It was Beanie. I was really pleased with the walking too - I used to walk it regularly but I’ve lost all confidence recently so I was really pleased to have done it linking dh most of the time....I must start walking more on my own again....need to work on my mind over matter and all that....

I know the famous York cafe you mentioned and am very fond of it but your bargain version sounded just the ticket.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your walk. I went for a long one today - cold but I felt it done me good.
