Well I actually really enjoyed the kedgeree - I’m not sure I could face it at breakfast though like it’s meant to be eaten. But I’d have it again dh only put a little bit of curry in it and I could have actually taken more in but I’m wary of saying that to dh or he will make it much hotter.
Tonight I made stuffed tomatoes with a home made savoury rice and a bit of the lean mince from weekend - I cheated and used some chopped frozen veggies in the rice but it was rather nice and SW friendly again. Don’t know if I dare say something in my head has clicked and I’ve done a few really good SW days orrr whether I’d be tempting fate a bit too much.:o;);)
I managed to get hold of my gdd who was 5 yesterday and she was having a whale of a time building the Lego (with her dad’s help) I’d got her for her birthday - her mum didn’t think she’d like it - but she hasn’t put it down :rotfl::rotfl: I do like it when I’m right. It’s not been one of the best selling toys all these years for nothing. It’s very frustrating not being able to see her properly on her birthday though- it’s good seeing her over t’internet but not the same as a real life birthday hug. Can’t wait until we see them at Christmas.
Ended up spending £30 in Morrisons tonight on fresh stuff and toiletries so I’m hoping I’ll be ok for a while now.
I need to get my behind into gear and gather the bits I’ve bought for Christmas pressies and then decide what I need to get..... I don’t feel remotely Christmassy yet this year.January spends - £587.580 -
Enjoying reading about your different foods you are having . Tonight's would be right up my street ! Am glad the hospital have changed your appointment for you , it sounds like it will be sooner than nine months .
Once you are sorted for Christmas and know you are seeing the DGD's you will get the Christmas spirit. I agree about Lego my 2 DGC play for ages with the stuff. I think Lego transcends time - when you think how long it's been selling (even I had some in the far off days of long ago!).
Agree the kedgeree can by heavy compared to a bowl of cereal! Your dinner tonight sounded really nice. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I still have my Lego - which was passed to my nephews - then came back to my house with the addition of bricks my nephews had outgrown to my children and it comes out when we get children visiting. Every now and then I put it in a pillowcase in the dishwasher. I haven’t had it out when my gks come as I was wary of youngest putting it in her mouth - think it’ll be coming out next time though as youngest is growing up fast :eek: and doesn’t seem to put things other than food in her mouth.January spends - £587.580

Well things are looking hopeful regards the inheritance- solicitor has traced it via banks etc and there is proof it was invested with the company..... police started investigating the fella who tried to scam us about other cases before he got to her money.....so it’s watch this space.
I lost 1 1/2 lb on Thursday - first time in a long time I’ve had 2 losses in a row....I will get back to target before I have my pre op in February.
Spent the day having a good old tidy up today...dh did the windows again for me....I had to laugh at the amount of praise I had to keep giving him...whereas I usually do that and everything else as well....ah well it’s worth it as they drive me mad when they’re dirty.
I might make a Christmas cake tomorrow and get dh to help me roll the icing out when it’s time to do it before Christmas, I wasn’t going to bother but it’ll really get me down if I don’t. I think I’ve only misssed making a cake once before since I was a teenager.January spends - £587.580 -
Good to hear something positive on the inheritance for once, fingers crossed for you. Men like to be praised don't they for things women do day in day out !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I had such ideas today - ended up piddling around all day - busy doing nothing. I’ve bought all the ingredients for 2 Christmas cakes and intended to make them but it just didn’t happen. Went for a mooch around B&M and went to Morrison’s twice as I forgot some stuff the first time - good job both shops are only around the corner!
I’ve actually made a Christmas pressie list and only have a couple to get but it’s awkward ones - no idea what to get for my ds and deans her hubby.January spends - £587.580 -
I'm very pleased to hear that you've had positive news on the inheritance Milann - hope everything pans out.

Christmas cakes are made and I’m topping them up with sherry and brandy daily. I’ve made 4 - 1 for us, 1 to take to ds, and the 2 smaller ones to use up the packets of fruit I had as Christmas pressie for sil and a spare one to give as a present to dhs boss - she’s very generous and doesn’t want for anything so any cheap pressie I could buy would look out of place in comparison to her stuff.....she has a massive house but loves home made things foodie things. My arm was shot afterwards and I did most of the mixing left handed...the fun part - not  - will be rolling out the marzipan and icing. I might have to call on Mr M as I don’t think I’ll be able to put the pressure on my arm....could be interesting. It’s so frustrating as I’d usually have them done in no time. It’s what I love doing an I can’t anymore - hopefully I’ll be able to next year again.
Oh and another little thing I did at weekend - I paid all my debts off....so once again I’m debt free :money::money::j:beer: I plan to pay my cc off in full again every month (in fairness it was only the anniversary/birthday present being ready early for dh that scuppered me before - and it has been paid off the same month as his birthday which was when I expected it to be ready) so now the plan is to build myself an emergency fund after Christmas and research my state pension to see if I need to top it up as I’ve no idea...
We’re having loads of problems with t’internet at the moment it’s cutting out all the time. Dh keeps threatening to change companies but that’s as far as he’s got.January spends - £587.580
