Did the hospital give an idea of the waiting list time for your op ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks for the soup making info SA.
Pesky ‘get up and go’ playing hide and seek on us Beanie - mines found a really good hiding place :rotfl::D
Hospital said they’d write to me CL then I got an appointment to go the beginning of December - the letter was a bit vague saying if your consultant is looking at surgery expect to be there a while as they do the pre op at the same visit. I’ve said I’m not having anything done this side of Christmas and they said that was ok as there is a long waiting list for this particular professor who needs to do it......but I’ve no idea what they consider a long list. I’m playing for time at work so I’ve built my sick pay up again.....but it’s really giving me agro since the weathers been colder - what will be will be I suppose.

Need to think of a little something to get dh for his birthday on Thursday - he’s already had his big surprise that was a joint anniversary/birthday present but I need to give him a little something to open - NO idea what though....might see what dvds are out at the moment.
Some friends are taking us to see a Beetles tribute band tomorrow night for his birthday. I’ve been to local theatre a fair bit recently - all or nothing as usual :rotfl:January spends - £587.580 -

In a funny sort of way I don’t think I want to know Beanie - I know it needs doing but getting even an approximate date makes it all the more real - sometimes ignorance is bliss....silly I know but that’s me
Well where has this week gone to. It’s was dhs birthday on Thursday. We seem to have been celebrating in some way all week. I’m shattered and lazy day is planned. Spending and eating have both gone through the roof...but that is the end of our year of celebrations - it’s not been the year I envisaged a couple of years ago when we’d been talking about going on a cruise to celebrate - but hey that’s life...it’s thrown a couple of spanner’s in the works but we’ve got through ok and still enjoyed ourselves. Had a lovely day in the big city near me yesterday - Christmas market, a ride on the tram to see poppy display at the war museum, back to big town to cinema to see Bohemian Rhapsody - fantastic film then a meal and tram home - dh wanted to make use of his newly acquired bus pass;)
Dh is currently in panic mode about an old pension that he can redeem. He keeps getting fobbed off and being told they are dealing with a backlog....he’s thinking he might have been scammed again - I really hope he’s wrong and it’s a genuine backlog.
I got my cc bill and come payday I can pay it off in full. So I’m pleased to have paid for the expensive present by his birthday (all bar a few days) as I wanted to do. It was worth the bit of interest I had to pay to see him speechless - something that doesn’t happen too often:rotfl::rotfl:
My dad would have been 100 today if he was still with us - he always claimed to have brought peace into the world with him:A:A.January spends - £587.580 -
