Yes Beanie I’ve been over the new bridge. I can see 2 ‘arches’ or whatever the official term is for the original Forth Bridge from the flat we are in. I’m currently sat watching the lights flashing on the bridges. We parked in a ‘free’ parking spot quite close to the V&A and only had a short time so saw Discovery and went in the V&A shop (and loos) but not into any exhibitions. If you ever go Beanie just be careful as it’s a real wind tunnel as you walk under the building. We went to see The Unicorn (boat) which my kids loved when they were little and the area around there has changed big time. I’d have loved to have visited the headquarters of the charity that helped us lots when my son was little and was in and out of hospital as the headquarters are in Dundee - The Britttle Bone Society but time just didn’t allow - I’d also have liked to visit the lady who founded it - again she lives in Dundee and is now in her 80s - that is why Dundee is quite special to me. They used to have access to a caravan in Monifieth which they funded us to visit several times - it was a life saver at the time and I have very fond memories.
We were going to go to the pictures tonight but couldn’t get in so came back for a chill.January spends - £587.581 -
Got back home yesterday - we’d planned on stopping off somewhere en route but the weather was awful. It was snowing from leaving Newcastle until we were in North Yorkshire - really heavy at times. So we headed home.
We ate from the freezer last night and I’m planning a little trip to Morrison’s to get a few bits to fit around my freezer contents. I want to run it right down then clean it, go to nice food market not too far from here and stock up by having a massive cooking session. There might be a few odd combinations over the next week or so...then I’m fully stocked if they go ahead with my arm....
Although I spent a fair bit whilst away I’m still hoping to pay my cc off next month minimum spends on everything including food.
I missed SW last week with being away so I’ll have to pay for that next week and get back on the SW bandwagon. I NEED to lose at least a stone before I have surgery - my BMI is the highest it’s ever been, I want it back to 24. I’m focusing on that rather than scale numbers.
Need to get my behind into gear and organise lots of areas of my life:o:D:beer:January spends - £587.580 -
Glad that you had a great break

Well my little trip to Morrison’s turned out to be a bigger trip to Sainsbobs as we were going to take advantage of free cake in John L which is next door, but it was heaving and they only had a few cakes left (I was going to share with dh) so we skipped and went straight into Sainsbury’s. £50 later....but that included 2 birthday presents so I was ok with that.
Had a letter from the GP to make an appointment to discuss the results from the dexa scan I had recently....guessing there has been some deterioration from the last one I had 10 years ago since she wants to see me.....
I thought I was back in work tomorrow but just found out it’s an inset day and I don’t have to go in :j:j:j will go for the swim I’ve been promising to do for ages.January spends - £587.580 -
