Had a bit of a messy day running around doing bits I would have had to do after work but I’ve quite enjoyed it. I never got to go for my swim as a friend said she’d pop in - I’m still waiting.

Sw wise I’ve been on it better than I’ve done in a long time. Funny how a mindset can change like a switch going off. Hopefully thinking BMI will do it for me.

I ended up doing a bit of a top up shop of cold meat from Aldi.

I was looking at a soup maker yesterday - can’t decide if it’ll make life easier or I’d be wasting my money. Not this month though but might be worth doing a bit of research just in case. Anyone got one?

I had a soup maker & it was good to a degree.
I liked my soup blended & you had to chop things up quite small for that to work.
Then the blender part stopped working & that was that.
Not like I used it every day or anything
Went to recycling just a couple of weeks ago as I have no idea why I was keeping it.

Hope the friend turned up eventually . If you have the operation on your wrist where will that be done ? Fingers crossed for the Dexa Scan to be not a lot worse than your last one.

We must meet up again soon , at the shopping centre on the tram line but will be after Christmas now.

Never used a soup maker before so not much help on that score.

Thanks Beanie - still pondering on the soup maker.

CL it will be Wrightington by a Professor there - apparently best in country - if all the hype is to be believed. I go again beginning of December hopefully to see the prof, who wasn’t there last time - the letter said allow enough time for a pre op but didn’t actually say I’d be having a pre op - watch this space!! Made an appointment to see GP about Dexa scan - I’m half expecting to have to go on bisphonfonate (sp) medication which builds bone mass - i Know a lot of folk at the brittle bone society already on it - so that’s on dh birthday 8th November. Getting fed up of doctors......

I’m going to see The Stylistics tomorrow at local theatre. Doesn’t seem a year since I was wondering if I’d be out of hospital to see their last tour - I managed to go on crutches. Going with my friend so looking forward to it :D

Only been back at work 4 days and it feels like 4 weeks.....
today was an Egyptian day at school where the children and staff in one of the classes I work in dressed as Egyptians to tie in with the topic. I dressed as Howard Carter the fella who found Tutankhamens tomb. I knew I had a pair of khaki coloured trousers - anyway I dug them out and prised myself into them - they were so uncomfortable - really cutting into me all day...although I knew I’d put weight on I never really acknowledged how bad it was.....made me really think! I expected an enormous PING as the button flew across the room or rip as they spit...Anyway the outfit wasn’t bad considering I’d pulled it together from things in the house and it didn’t cost me a penny:money: white shirt, brown strappy sandals, khaki trousers, a wide brimmed khaki sun hat, a pair of binoculars and map of Egypt in my pocket A bigger problem will be dressing as an Acient Greek in a couple of weeks when another class I work in has a Greek day:eek:

Stylistics were fantastic again. I put 1lb on at SW meaning I’m exactly the same weight as I was a few weeks ago when I rejoined :o and I’ve had a couple of early nights - that’s been my week so far. A bit of housework planned over the weekend. Not much more to report. Oh a bit of a spendy week as had to pay the balance of my Christmas do with work. Must do better on all counts.....

I've got a Morphy Richards soup maker, I love it. I've been having soup for my lunch at work most days since joining WW 16 years ago. I used to cook it in a pan then blend in a liquidiser. I bought the soup maker 2 years ago with some hesitation but it's made my soup making so much easier. I just throw it all in, switch it on and go and do something else for 20 minutes. You don't need to chop up into small pieces and the soup seems to be creamy without anything creamy in it. Highly recommend and I am a very experienced soup maker :)

Glad you enjoyed the Stylistics :)
