CL we had an e mail this week saying there is no record of the name ever being with the investors -not looking good. I’m hoping they can trace it the money going to him via bank movement. I could cry when I think about it. Our retirement fund gone with somebodies greed and dishonesty. Dh thinks it’s gone forever.....

On a more positive note - I’ve been enjoying meeting my virtual real family in America. Photos crossing the Atlantic by the minute and a potted history of my Grandad and his boat lost in the war. It’s quite funny though as I’d always said my grandkids were like their dad but seeing a photo of some of the little ones over there - there is definitely a family resemblance.

I’ve had some lovely bruising come out on my wrist, I think it must be from when they injected into it. I’m surprised it’s taken so long to come out though - but it went in deep.

I had an amazing night on Friday - we went to a Turkish restaurant - there were 12 of us in the end as things cropped up for some. I am meeting one of the ones who didn’t show at the big big shopping mall near me one night this week and she is treating me to tea instead. The only thing I’m was disappointed about was the ‘party’ night - last time I went there there was a belly dancing followed by general dancing - it was packed. However the party night this time was a not so good Ed Sherran impersonation and the place was half empty. It’s recently changed hands. But it was my close friends from different places all together in one place - it worked well with them all getting on. It cost me quite a bit though as I bought several bottles of vino.....they are all friends that have supported, visited and taken me out when I’ve been in hospital over the last 12 years - my little thank you to them.

Had a bit of a lazy weekend. The house is bugging me as I’ve only been doing the bare essentials as by arm can’t cope. It needs a good ‘bottoming’ (as my mum would say) though - the more I look at it the further I cuddle into my chair. I’m so tempted to get someone in again but I know I shouldn’t be spending unnecessary money. I want to fully pay my cc by December.

I’m slightly concerned about when they do whatever they do with my arm - I’ve had 99 days off sick according to my latest back to work interview last week with the day off after the scan. I’ll probably go on half pay at some point - I wasn’t unduly worried as I thought the inheritance would have come through but got to admit it’s on my mind now. I could swing for the unscrupulous bleeping investors :mad:

We have just been booking a short break with the monies we’ve had for our anniversaries for October half term - didn’t just want it to go in general funds. A few night in Scotland and a few in North of England - air bnb. I’m hoping it’ll be ok but if it’s anyhting like the place we stayed in earlier this year with the kids should be good.

So MSE wise - my new month starts tomorrow - just waiting for my cc bill to arrive.

I’ve done an Aldi shop today £50 which should last into a couple of weeks with a store cupboard challenge. I’ll make a cc payment after payday and hopefully finish it off next month then it’s back to paying it every month. So I’ve subscribed to the October NSD challenge to see if it helps. I’ll also open a savings account to try and get a little emergency fund together. I thought I’d be ok and relied on the cash I was expecting but need to put things in place pretty quickly with all things considered.

It’s dds birthday next week but that’s budgetted for and other than a week away at the end of the month I don’t see anything on the horizon to scupper my plans :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::money::rotfl::rotfl: dread to think what I’ve tempted fate to do with a statement like that.

The little pension I decided not to draw yet wrote back to me and by law have to make a percentage payment once I’m 60 so they’ll make a credit to my account monthly and keep the rest deferred another 2 years when it reaches its max...so I’ll get 67p......yes 67p a month you read it right -paid into my bank each month :beer:can’t decide what to spend it on - surely must cost more to administer than pay it out buuut once I open my savings account I’ll add an extra £11 monthly - the £10.50 I don’t pay on prescriptions now I’m 60 and 50p of my 67p...wouldn’t want to squander it:rotfl: That’ll be £790 by the time I retire....every little helps and all that:money: Plus if I make any savings anywhere by qualifying for over 60 reductions but I think most things are 65 these days I’ll Squirrel those away too :) oooh not sure whether it’s a reduced rate at SW....must investigate:beer:

2 NSDs since Monday, I caved and bought an ice cream from the ice cream van near work yesterday in the sunshine - otherwise it’d been 3 :o but it was only a small spend of £1.20.

So dh has just been looking into applying for his bus pass for when he reaches 65 next month....it seems women in London can still get a pass at 60.....talk about unfair. The only thing I can think of is cut down traffic congestion. Congestion needs cutting everywhere not just London...... I would certainly use public transport if it wasn’t so pricey.
    Right off my soapbox now..

Beautiful day here again. Lovely sunshine :T

Just had my cc bill through it’s just short of £1400. I can make a good chunk of that this month leaving a tight month but I’m pretty sure I can’t do it all. But I will be debt free again by the end of the year.

No wonder you're annoyed about your retirement fund, I hope there's something you can do to get it back. Have you had any advice?

Don't go mad with that 67p :rotfl: Wouldn't even buy you a coffee!
