I know SA - must cost more to administer 67p a month than its worth :rotfl::rotfl:
The potential, scam is in the hands of a solicitor. It’s 2years tomorrow since she passed away - she’d be so mad. I just feel cheated -which we probably have been. They are trying to prove via bank records as there was no evidence of her investing via him in his paperwork - could be a long drawn out process. Just feel like my dreams have been pulled from under me.

My baby is 37 today how did I that happen?

A year ago today they told me I was being transferred to a specialist spinal surgeon as they thought I had a tumour on my spine....I’d completely lost the use and feeling in my leg and they didn’t know if it would return. I’m so glad they were wrong and it was ‘just’ a bleed into my spinal sack and I’ve recovered with a slight weakness in my leg. A scary, scary time I never want to repeat. Can’t complain at the care I had at all the hospitals I visited though - thank you again NHS

Managed 4 NSDs this week so pleased with that.

I went back to SW a stone heavier than I was in June....if only it came off as easily.

I’m in the process of de cluttering my bedroom  things have slipped big time. I’ve asked dh to clean all the windows for me this weekend - so far nothing has happened...... watch this space!!!

What a relief for you it all ended well with your spine. People call the NHS but they pulled out all the stops for Mr SA. I've also had very positive experiences with them.

Good luck with the decluttering and getting DH to window clean :)

Not sure where this week has gone....
I got my windows cleaned last weekend and did a decluttter of my bedroom including the dreaded paperwork boxes...been meaning to do them for months. I spring cleaned my living room and intended doing my kitchen but I never got that far. I’d every intention of doing a cupboard a night this week :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I’m full of good intentions that don’t happen.

I went to the hospital on Tuesday and it wasn’t the best news but I was expecting it. Its going to need a big op including altering the length of a bone in my arm and grafting artificial membrane to replace the damaged one :eek: I was a little miffed as my doc wasn’t there and although the doc I saw was lovely and told me scenarios of what the prof doing the op might do - he couldn’t give any definite answers just a couple of options of possibilities. Anyway I’ve not slept much since partly because my arm has been so sore after being messed with partly as it’s (along with a few other things) is on my mind a bit. Doc said he’d phone and let me know what was happening and get me on the list for surgery but it won’t be any time soon (I don’t want anything doing before Christmas) Then today I got another appointment for the beginning of December....not sure whether that’ll include a pre-op or not. My head has been a bit all over the place.

Off to Bonnie Scotland and Northern England for a few days next week so looking forward to that. Got a lot to do tomorrow before we go though...

Milann , oh no to the operation, but if it makes things better then it has to be done I guess. Have a good break up in Scotland and the North , I hope you sleep better .

Thanks ladies. When he explained what they had to do and then said the professor might want to do it in stages I was in two minds whether to go ahead or not. But looking long term and realistically I don’t walk anywhere as much as I used to and as I get older I don’t see that improving greatly. I spend a lot of time knitting, crocheting, crafts, cooking and I love decorating cakes - none of which I can do properly if at all at the moment. I can’t peel a potato or lift my gks. It’s got me down more than when I thought I’d lost the use of my leg last year. I’ve got to go for it -otherwise how will I fill my time and creativity - I’ll go stir crazy just using the puter and watching tv :eek:I hope whichever way he does it - it’s all in one go.

Forgot to say 2 NSDs this week

I’m having an early night as I’m nodding in the chair - night night :o

Had hoped for an NSD today but ended up treating my dh an ds for a meal out. We went to the most bizarre and amazing place. An Ethiopian cafe - a friend told us about it. I had no idea what to expect but it was delicious. It was like a cross between a transport cafe/child’s cafe and restaurant. The lady who runs it is one of life’s characters to say the least. We ordered samosas for starters and a main dish each. I had a delicately spiced lamb stew the other 2 had a spicy dish and when it came there was a big round tray of various accompaniments that I’ve never seen before - salad, chickpeas, beetroot, lentils, oatcake style wraps, corn bread, potatoes, and lots of other bits too all cooked Ethiopian style. We were stuffed - the whole lot for the 3 of us including soft drinks was £34,50. It was on a main road near industrial estate and doesn’t look anything from the outside - if it was in town the food would easily be twice the price.

Nearly time to leave Bonnie Scotland - had an amazing time although it’s been blowing a gale  we’ve been on Britannia, rode the Falkirk wheel spotted Kelpies although it was sooo windy we stayed in the car rather than getting out to look. The air bnb is fantastic - overlooking the Firth of Forth literally on the banks quite close to where Britannia is - the view from the windows towards the Forth Bridge are amazing - don’t think I want to give this place back. We’ve bussed it into Edinburgh and travelled to Dundee for an hour or so to see how it’s changed since we visited over 20 years ago - I’d have like to stay longer but there was a lot I wanted to do. We’ve spent a fair bit on meals out and my sw has gone out of the window but we had a fair bit of cash to cover a lot of it as wedding anniversary and birthday presents.

What’s amazed me is how quickly it goes into countryside once you leave a town - rather than 1 town running into the next.

I’ve thought of my virtual friend Beanie whilst I’ve been here but dh doesn’t quite understand the virtual relationships we get on here. I’d have loved to meet but maybe another time when I’ve more time and on my own :p if that ever happens.

We’re off to Newcastle tomorrow I’d much rather stay in Scotland but I’m sure we’ll have a good time.

In a funny sort of,way I’m looking forward to,getting home on Saturday and regaining control of my food intake and spends - I’m in danger of losing my spirit of fun and adventure so I can control....got to give myself a talking to and remember to get the balance right......
