Not sure where time has gone - I enjoyed works Christmas do last weekend. I’ve been to put ds tree up for him, had a Christmas party for the young folk where I volunteer and tonight went back to school to help with the Christmas production which was lovely. I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed it last year when I wasn’t at work. So it’s been busy busy busy.....

I visited Wrightington and saw the professor who went over the op but I’m still not much wiser, as he won’t make the final decision about how he’s doing the op until he’s tested my arm whilst I’m under. I have the pre op at the end of February but could still be waiting up to 9 months. At least I can relax a while and know for sure nothing is happening until at least after February half term. After the visit to the hospital we went to Fleetwood to a shopping outlet and bought a waterproof coat for myself and dh from the regatta shop for £30 each Mine is a bright yellow one which I wouldn’t usually touch with a barge pole but I actually like it and I bought a pair of Hotter boots for £40 - £85 in the shops and I don’t know I’ve got them on they are so comfy. Non of the spends were planned but all items needed. Then a quick trip for tea at our favourite cafe in Blackpool. It felt like quite a nice day out even though I’d been to work and the hospital.

I had an unexpected expense I could have done without as I had a dental bill of £250.......don’t ask :rotfl: :rotfl: but I’ve had to get a new false tooth....hopefully it’ll be ready for Christmas.....what’s that song ‘all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth’

I’m getting there as far as Christmas is concerned - although I have no idea what to buy my ds..... if he needs something he goes to get it when he wants it.....I might give him money to get something in the sales with a token t-shirt or something to open. I’ve just got to write my Christmas cards and get some in the post this week and ice my Christmas cakes. I don’t believe how late we break up this year and go back on 7th Jan - I’d rather have the time off before Christmas and go back earlier..... I like a couple of days in the house on my own to wind down from school Christmas before home Christmas begins.....

Beanie you couldn’t make it up - I’ve managed to loose my false tooth.....I refuse to start phoning shops to to ask if anyone has handed them in :rotfl::rotfl:....I’d taken them out in the car as i had a sore mouth - i think I put them in my pocket as I was at traffic lights. Then on the spur of the minute went to a couple of shops on my way home and I think I pulled them out of my pocket......I’ve had everywhere upside down looking for them. I was due a new set anyway as I’ve had them altered after an extraction and they weren’t quite right but dentist advised waiting 9 months until all swelling etc had gone down and it’s over 9 months now.

I’ve got a morning off today. The head does it as a thank you and we get a shopping morning at Christmas - it’s hanging in the balance if we’ll get it again as some folk have been taking advantage or moaning they want an afternoon or moaning about covering others jobs. They don’t know when they’re on a good thing. My old school wouldn’t have ever contemplated something like this it was all about what they could get extra from you with nothing in return.

On that not I’m off to hoover and have a bit of a clean up so I don’t need to do it at weekend :T

    Sorry that made me laugh.

I just don’t get how ungrateful some people are.

Started with a streaming cold last night - been shivery all day so been dosing myself up and I smell of eau de oblas...

So Christmas cakes are not iced, cards are written but not reached a postbox yet.

Went to sw group at 8.30 this morning and put 1 1/2 on of the 2 1/2 I’d lost last week....but I’d had works Christmas do and been to places where there were lots of Christmas nibbles...at least going is keeping me focussed a bit.

I think I’ve finally managed to get all my pressies...ended up spending more than I’d intended on dd - I didn’t have a clue what to get and I know she uses the gift I’ve got her so I’d rather pay for something that’ll be used tha something that’ll end up in the charity shop...it’s much easier buying when they’re little than grown up.....

It’s been really cold today but I’m so pleased the snow forecast didn’t arrive.
