I had a great day out with ds and Dh yesterday. Went to look at cars with ds then onto a NT place we hadn’t been to before. Luckily there was a lot of shade so that suited me. We moved onto a to a little spa town I hadn’t visited before and had a look around and ds treated us to tea. We split the day up with car rides in between. By the end of the day I couldn’t put my foot on the floor and I had big red patches on my legs again. It’s really strange. Anyway I’m actually pleased they’re there as I’m at the hospital with my ankle tomorrow - I’ve never managed to time it when they are there and I’m seeing a doc. It’s not what I’m going with but he might point me in the right direction.
It’s so hot today and we’re shattered after being out yesterday,  we haven’t done a great deal. We watched a film about the boys who were trapped  in the cave in Thailand. Best thing I’ve watched in a very long time.
Not much cash spent over the weekend…..in fact I don’t think I paid for anything. I need to do some number crunching.

Your day out sounded fab milann!  Sorry to read about your foot playing up though, but as you say at least the hospital can have a look at the red patches on your legs and can perhaps diagnose the problem. 👍

I saw the doctor and am on the list to have a steroid injection. His bedside manner left a lot to be desired……he was on the phone  whilst I was in there and mentioned his private hospital to whoever he was talking to. He was insisting I’d had the stoma due to cancer……I’m sure I’d have remembered. I need to get back to my GP as they’d been writing this in reports previously - but I thought I’d had it changed 😡 He dismissed  me whilst he was on the phone. I didn’t get chance to ask how long the waiting list was 😳 Totally different to the fantastic doctor I see about my hip. But the good news is there was no mention of surgery and I will get an injection sometime.
Oh and he couldn’t tell me what the marks on my legs were because he wasn’t a dermatologist…..which is what I expected. But I thought he might have been able to point me in the right direction.
I was hoping for rain but not a drop….neither did we have the promised thunder storms and it is no longer in the forecast….plus the chance of rain tomorrow has dropped considerably. My garden is looking very sorry for itself.
My hairdresser friend is going away so I’ve had my hair cut today before she heads off. I asked her to cut it very short - she hasn’t gone quite as short as I wanted but it looks ok.

He definitely was Beanie…..not seen one like that for a while. I’d played with the idea of a little complaint but decided against it……just in case he’s the one wielding the needle for the steroids 🙃

Quite apart from it being basic bad manners to talk to someone on the phone while he was supposed to be seeing you, I'm sure talking about another patient when you are with another is against patient confidentiality.  Can you not do an anonymous complaint?  He could miss something really important about someones health if he is doing that regularly.

Badmemory…..he didn’t actually name anyone. More about figures and he mentioned the private hospital he also works with. I couldn’t quite believe what was happening 🙄 I do wonder if I was at the other hospital if he’d had been on the phone whilst I was in the room 😡

I phoned my GP this morning re the red marks on my legs which have faded considerably but are quite sore to touch which is unusual. The receptionist asked if it was an emergency……I told her the details and let her decide as I’d have said it wasn’t.  Anyway they sent me a link to send photos within minutes and GP phoned me within the hour. I had a lovely chat with her and she wants some blood tests and has asked whoever takes the blood tests to let her know when they’re down so she can follow up herself. I mentioned the Doc yesterday trying to insist I’d had a carcinoma so she went through the notes that were sent to him  and there was no mention of anything like that but she will get somebody to check through the notes. I had an appointment booked next week for a prescription review so she did that this morning. She is a lovely common sense doctor.
As I was walking home yesterday - there was a lovely little sewing machine in a box saying Free….please take me. So I did. I thought it was a child’s machine but when I got it home and checked it it was just a mini sewing machine. I know my gdd is after a machine but I’m not sure if this will be suitable……I’ll let my dd decide and if not will pass it onto the charity shop.
I need to do some shopping. I was going to go to the gym but I’m going to pass today rather than aggravate my leg. I need to tidy up.
Still no rain here. It is a lot cooler though 😁

So glad you spoke to another GP.  I suspect she may do an internal version of a complaint on those grounds.  He needs to concentrate on the job at hand!

When Mr SA was at the melanoma clinic for his results a few weeks ago, the nurse went over the dermatologist’s notes and said “oh you have Parkinson’s and are waiting for an op to remove a brain tumour” when in fact he has brain damage from a brain tumour now in remission 😐 Obviously he only remembered bits of what we told him when he wrote up his notes!
