It was Beanie. I really thought he was either going to fall out or get stuck 😳

I’ve had no ht water since yesterday. We’ve phoned the engineer who has repaired it several times and are waiting for him to get back to us. 🙄

Boiler engineer can’t come until Thursday so I’ve killed 2 birds with 1 stone. Made use of my gym membership and showered there 😁 I’ll do the same tomorrow morning 👍

How annoying about the hot water, @milann.....I suppose the only faint upside is that you're saving a tidsy bit of energy while it's off.

That’s what I thought Foxgloves. And it’s saving water…..we seem to wait quite a while for the hot water to start running. I’m not sure whether we’d be better off getting a new boiler. Dh has repaired this one several times and we’ve had engineer out a couple of times. It was 2006 when we had it put in. I suggested getting a new one when we had the kitchen put in. Can’t believe that’s been in nearly 2 years already.

I’m just off for a shower and swim. It’s actually been ok without the hot water…we’ve been boiling kettles and I’ve been using my gym membership. Wouldn’t want it permanently but I can easily manage for a short time.
I’d decided to get my knitting out yesterday. Gdd requested a black cardigan last year. If I don’t get a move on she’ll have outgrown it. I haven’t enjoyed doing it though it’s been very hard going with black wool. I can crochet black wool with no problems but was surprised to find how difficult it is to knit and see what I’d done. I also want to finish a pink crocheted cardi for youngest gdd before e go down the last weekend in August. Need to get a move on 👍😀 I thought I’d watch the last but one Downton Abbey film on dvd as I’ve just finished watching the series on Netfl!x for the umpteenth time. I was totally flummoxed and couldn’t figure out which channel to watch on….HM……whatever it was. I’m such a technophobe. Life used to be so simple when you switched on, put dvd in, pressed play and VOILA - it worked. I gave it up as a bad job. Anyway I’ve had instructions from Dh. So this afternoon after I’ve done a bit of housework. My treat will be Downton and knitting 😀
I want to pay my cc in full this afternoon. Still not tried to get the Premium Bonds. I’ll wait until tomorrow when Dh is around should I need technical backup. I wish you could still get them at the post office😏
