Just been with Dh to the chemist to collect his prescription……which won’t be ready until Monday.  Not the GPS fault at all. The asthma nurse wanted him to try different meds - he only spoke to her yesterday and the script went through today…..just happened the chemist didn’t have any.
So we decided rather than a wasted journey we’d have a meander around the place which was my favourite place to walk during lockdown which is just a little further along the road. I haven’t been there since spring time before my ankle decided to play silly beggars. We had a lovely walk but I had to sit at virtually every bench to allow my ankle to unlock itself. I’m so annoyed at this backward step as I’d worked hard regaining my strength after the tummy surgery I’d had and got to the stage where I could easily walk around. Anyway I did it and enjoyed it. I’ve decided when I do go to see the consultant I’m going to walk there so it can be seen when I’ve been on it. Only spends were for an ice cream each…😁🍦😁 it was surprising warm but very overcast.

Another typical weekend…..nothing too exciting but everything plodded along nicely.
I’d not been to the big shopping centre for months but I went earlier this week to meet MSE friend for a cuppa and went again with Dh on Saturday….he had a free drinks voucher at JLewis and I had a £5 off M&S food hall. So we made use of both vouchers whilst having a bit of a mooch around. I was very surprised that I actually got a fair bit of shopping in M&S for £45. Some things were actually the same as I pay in Morrison’s and others worked out really well by making the most of the offers. I haven’t had a pottering around day for ages and loved it. There are plenty of benches to sit on but I was still in bed at 8.30 as my foot was very swollen and driving me mad.
We were mooching around a famous up market chain store and Dh spotted a hooded top. It had what could only be described as a teddy with its head not attached properly. We had a chuckle about my late MIL not approving- she was teddy mad BUT she always checked the faces to see if it looked right 😂😂😂……anyway I clocked the price of this here top. I thought it was a code…..but we both decided it had to be the price. We confirmed this by looking on line. In my eyes it just looked like a hoodie with a teddy that wasn’t formed properly BUT somebody daft enough will be paying £560 for the privilege of wearing it 😳😳😳 Do people really pay these sorts prices or am I just out of touch 🤪
Ds came around today and we had a roast dinner. We decided on this as the weather looked rubbish on the forecast but it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. I wouldn’t have put the oven on had I known how warm it was going to be. Twas very tasty though.
Credit card paid and balances done and dusted. I was very pleased that my totals were only £50 more than my upper limit of a usual month. And that included my weekend away seeing Micky Bubble, and I’d saved £60 in my change jar - so not out of pocket at all 😁

I had great plans to do some house things yesterday but I sat down and nodded off. Not sure what’s got into me. So in a bid to muster some energy I’m off for a swim. I haven’t been for a few weeks So today’s the day. When I come back I going to finish the bedroom sort out I started last week 👍
Not planning spending any cash today. Going to leave my purse in the house so I’m not tempted in the coffee shop after my swim.
    Have a good day 👍

Just been reading through your diary for the last couple of weeks - what a fantastic view you had at the Buble concert!  My sister would be green with envy - she loves him!  I like the Art Deco cinema too with the moving pianist!  Just like before the war!

    I hope you're having a lovely weekend! X
