Remind me not to brag that my leg was ok 😂😂 My hip is great after the injection but I’ve broken my toe 😏 Its a fairly regularly occurrence and once settled deep in my boot was fairly protected…..I just made sure nobody knocked or stood on it. I kept my foot out of bed away from bedcovers so all was well. Then my ankle objected to being kept in position by the new insoles 😡 I enjoyed the weekend but had to keep resting….this morning I can’t put my foot on the floor 😡😡😡
Anyway footy problems aside I had an amazing weekend. The campsite was lovely. The view from the van is the top right. There were a couple of resident pheasants and followed the owner of the site around after food 😂
It was a quick hobble along a country road to the canal tow path where we could get to the venue for the train show and into town. The opposite direction took us to an old chain bridge and hotel which had a rather lovely bar. The weather was beautiful so it was bbqs for breakfast and teas. We had a lovely savoury cream tea one dinner time with cheese scones, cream cheese, cheese and chutney instead of the usual sweet jam and cream. It was delicious.
I lost track of spends so need to have a tally up. Nothing too horrendous though…..unlike Dh who did succumb to a new train…..he wasn’t going to but his eyes lit up 😂😂. I told him to go ahead…..it’s something that should increase in value and if the worse comes to the worse he can sell it again. So I have a happy hubby 😂😂😂😂 Doesn’t take much 👍
Ds met us yesterday so we and a lovely day with him…..bbq sausage ready for his arrival and he treated us to tea on the way home. Although we were only away 2 nights it felt like a real break 😁This will definitely be one of our go to sites as it’s only about an hour and a half - even taking it slowly in the MH.
I went to SW early Friday before we headed off and lost 2lb 😁January spends - £587.582 -

It was just so relaxed Beanie….there were only 2 other vans in a lovely garden with pheasants running around that used to be a plant nursery. Unfortunately the man who owns it was away or Dh would have been in his absolute element as there was a track for a small sit on train…..boys and their toys 🤪😂January spends - £587.580

I didn’t do much other than make a birthday card for a friend - my foot was so sore yesterday and I can still barely put my foot on the floor so I’ve phoned the GP. I don’t think there’s much can be done but maybe an x ray to see what’s going on might be advisable 😏 My toe has settled down now…..just the ankle 😡😡😡😡😡
I had plans to finish potting my bedding plants into the tubs from the front garden. I can sit on a stool whilst getting on but the GP usually rings on the house phone and I’m not sure I can hobble in, in time to answer it. So I’m staying near the phone until after the phone call.
There are rumblings of a big family reunion next year in my Dads home town with the relatives from USA, England and Ireland getting together. It would be amazing if it actually happens 😁

I can’t really complain about the service from the GP. I’ve got a prescription for some anti inflammatory gel (i can’t take the painkillers she offered), a referral note for an x ray and a physio referral providing there isn’t a stress fracture in the joint. Just got to hobble around to collect them nowJanuary spends - £587.581

I did indeed hobble to pick the referral form and prescription up. I went to the chemist next door and it was shut for dinner because they have no staff. So rather than coming home I went to Morrison’s for a sandwich and back to the chemist. Not sure why I bothered because they didn’t have it in…….so I need to hobble back tomorrow 😏 a bit of a waste of time. GP surgery rang and I have a chat with the physio next Wednesday.
My hair has taken on a life of its own - I can’t get it cut until next week as my friend is poorly.
Right that’s enough moaning……I need to ring to make an appointment for an x ray.January spends - £587.580
