Plants are potted…..tomorrow Dh will move them all to their allotted spots and we will get the garden chairs out. We might even get around to giving the flags a once over with the power cleaner - then I want to decide what we are doing with the shady nook I had fancied last year 😁
I think my ankle is finally beginning to improve…..I haven’t been on it much today, I’ve been sitting as I’ve been gardening- the only other place I’ve walked is from the car into the pub where Dh treated me to a bogof carvery 😁

Done some money shuffling today…..transferred ISA s that had come to the end of their terms from 0.5 % interest to 1.5 % and set up new instant savers with interest at 2.5% (I think that’s what it was…..Dh had me befuddled making a simple procedure complicated 😂😂😂)Lady in Building Society was lovely…..told us to keep our eye on the interest rate as there is a 14 day cool off period and go back and change if rate go up in between times just go in and change it. Dh dropped me off at the  building society and then went and parked the car so I didn’t have to walk 😏
I did sweep the front garden, the tarmac is driving me mad. It’s nearly 40 years old and is going a bit crumbly and tiny stones come into the house.  That was about as long as I could stand though…..it’s driving me MAD 😡
DH washed Millie and was going to put the pots I filled over the last few days in their rightful places in the newly swept front garden but the heavens opened and it poured down big time 💦💦
I didn’t go to SlimmingWorld as I don’t think I could have walked from the carpark. I’m undecided what to do about SW……I’m tied up quite a few weeks over the summer and wouldn’t make the Friday or Saturday group. I don’t want to pay for weeks I’m not there and didn’t enjoy the group at a different place earlier in the week which I could make. I might just do my own thing until my busy weeks have passed and then rejoin at my favourite group….in between times I will put £5 a week a away and cash it in when I get to my target

Dh put the flower pots in the front garden…..they look quite nice….should look even better once they fill out a bit.
We’re  visiting dds relatives in July and will take Millie with us to make it a longer break staying on his very big garden. It’s the opposite end of the country to us and I had ideas of visiting Highclere Castle en route. Typical……it’s not open the week we visit 😡
I’ve just been doing some number crunching and the totals for the month so far £695, which included my car insurance. I need to reign in next month….I’ve been a little too spendy and frivolous this month. No harm done as long as I nip it in the bud 👍

I finally feel as if I’m getting somewhere with the garden. Dh made the chairs up we bought in March. We’ve brought all the older garden furniture out and arranged it….
including a table we’ve had for years but rarely use as it’s a pain dragging it out of the shed. We only used it when we had company- which is a bit silly so it will be out all the summer. I’ve been sitting on my little stool making climbing frames with canes and cotton for my pots of sweet peas. Dh has bought me some paint slobber, (he knows how to woo a gal with romantic gestures 😂😂😂) the fences are looking very neglected and it’s not long since I last did them. It was the only fence paint we could get at the time during lockdown and it was rubbish. So I’ll sit on my stool and do a panel at a time again. So that’s me busy for the next week or so. I do love pottering in the garden though. We have only just come back in - we even had our tea out there 😁

I’m disappointed the garden bench I painted last summer needs doing again. So much for lasting 5 years as it said on the tin 🙁
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

😂😂Dh goes off on one every time we do the fences…..comparing it to old fashioned  creosote. I do remind him how harmful creosote  was to the environment…..which he totally agrees with. Doesn’t stop my very own grumpy old man comparing the performance though……😂😂😂step aside Victor Meldrew 😂😂😂
I’ve no plans in particular today……just let the day unfold. We will probably see ds but I won’t be going out for a walk as we usually do. I do need a ball of garden twine to make a climbing frame for my sweet peas in the front garden….I’m not paying the silly prices for the ready made ones 😳

I should have been meeting a friend today but there has been a slight change of plan and she is coming here…..so I need to have a mad tidy up beforehand- it’s surprising how a visitor can put a spring in my step with the tidying 😂😂😂😂

Had a lovely day with my friend. She came at 11 am and has only just gone home. Dh still hasn’t come home from work……job has overrun. This is the first time this has happened for a while. Hope it’s the last time too 😡
