😂😂 Bad memory I like the way you do as your son tells you…..I’m the same with Dh. Well when it comes to technology I do as he tells me.👍
I’ve just been looking around the house and it’s beginning to get very cluttered…..need to tackle it very soon. Lack of routine and not doing my school holiday jobs is taking its toll.

Not sure what went on with our electrics yesterday…..whether there was a sudden surge or just coincidence 😏 Dh put the sandwich maker on just as I was boiling a kettle of water. There was an almighty bang and flash - that was the end of our good old sandwich maker…..I went to put the kettle back on ……no chance. The button wouldn’t click on or off…..just sort of waggled with no resistance. So that was the end of the kettle too. I was gutted as it was a new kettle when I had the kitchen done a couple of years ago. We went to a couple of shops for another deep red kettle, they had every colour but. The we went to Dunelm where we’d bought the original and thankfully there was just the one 😁 so I now have a lovely new shiny deep red kettle ( minus the scratch that happened the day after I’d bought the original one ) We haven’t replaced the sandwich maker as we only use it once in a while and we’re thinking of getting an electric grill endorsed by an old boxer called George that we can use in Millie…we’re thinking that can double as a sandwich maker so will do some research.
I’ve got a session booked at the gym later…..I haven’t used my membership for a while - unless you count the 20% off in the cafe. They’re doing a ‘how to get the most from my membership’ session. So I’m heading there…..I’m hoping they might suggest the best classes as I’m wary of doing anything too strenuous and causing damage to myself. I still haven’t been out to do any walking since I messed my ankle 2 weeks ago, but am walking around the house a bit better. I might just end up keeping to my swimming…..I need to get back into the habit of going again 👍

I’ve just come back from the Find my Fit session. I’m so pleased I went…..there have been a lot of new additions and building work to the gym during covid. One of them is called Body Circuit….in my head it was a circuit for young fit hunks not older ladies with arthritis. Anyway it’s state of the art machinery that remembers you and adjusts itself accordingly depending whether you’re struggling or finding things easy, there are various programmes and YES…..one of them is for the older gym member that might need gentle programmes because of conditions such as arthritis 😁😁 next door is what is called a recovery room😂…..every sort of massage chair and machine imaginable. I had a go and it was just bliss. I’ve booked an induction tomorrow. I’ve got to do something  to keep me moving and improve my mobility as I’ve noticed a big difference recently. They also have a ‘bolt on’ to memberships where you pay a bit extra each month and you get towels included…..I’m debating going for this instead of SlimmingWorld…..but it’s no good if I don’t use it. Feel free to give me a kick up the backside if I don’t. Also as an incentive there is a reward system to entice you back to exercise....including vouchers for the restaurant. 😁 😁😁😁……and there is no need to book to go for a swim anymore 👍👍

The bolt on payments for towels are only for monthly subscriptions. I’ve always paid for the year 😏

    Sounds a great idea.

Foreman does indeed double as a sandwich maker.

Clever Dh 👏👏 he took the sandwich maker to work as they have all the correct tools there to test it. Replaced the cable with the one from  burnt out kettle and hey presto…..it’s as good as new 😁

I had such good intentions today but it’s awful weather…..hailstone and rain more on than off with the sun peeking out for a few minutes then rain again. It’s really cold and I’ve not ventured far from the chair. The sun has just popped out again and the fences are steaming…..it looks very surreal.
We’re going to dds at weekend. There’s will be a street party involved so I’m hoping the weather perks up. We’ll have a couple of days at home, then off in Milie for a few days, a freebie that the dealer threw in as part of the deal when we bought it. There has been a slight problem with one of the catches on a cupboard so we will drop it in with the dealer for an hour whilst it’s sorted. Then we are home another couple of days and off again….a night in the carpark of a pub that boasts over 50 pies…..it gets good reviews. Ds will spend the day with us and have tea at the pub before he heads home. The following day we’re heading to the coast for 4 nights at a different Haven site….I was very impressed with the last one we stayed at….as it’s not school holiday so we will give it another go. I don’t think I’d fancy it in school holidays, but in term time it’s clean and cheaper than caravan club sites and seem to be in decent locations 😁 In July we are staying at dds in laws in Millie and then I’m off to Bath with my friend in a hotel…granted a budget one but a hotel 😁…..it’s clocking in at £100 a night though 😳😳😳😳 if it wasn’t for going with a friend I certainly wouldn’t be going…..no plans beyond that. I’m quite enjoying my few nights every few weeks in Millie. I’m hoping my ankle will be up to walking for these trips….I’m walking from the car to inside places but I’ve not been on an actual walk for over 2 weeks. I’m off to the gym later to try and get some activity to build the muscles up 👍 all the physios and doctors seem to be recommending keeping active…the balance is not overdoing it 🤞
