A local park is lighting the beacon at 9.45pm, far too late for me. If we’d been on a night out maybe.

Have a fabulous time at DD’s, enjoy the sea air 😊

Had an amazing time celebrating the Jubilee with dd and family. There was a great street party….whoever organised it had put so much thought in it. Races, a saxophone duo, face painting, massive space hoppers (which I didn’t partake in 😂😂)  an area of wooden games around at the time of the coronation, a cake decorating and best dressed window competition a barn dance and then music through the decades with dancing…..oh and there was so much food….everyone contributed. My 3 dozen scones went within minutes 😳👍 My only regret was I couldn’t dance as my foot flared up…..it’s driving me mad 😡
I dosed myself up and we went for a walk somewhere we hadn’t been before…..a lovely walk by the white cliffs along the seafront - the waves were splashing over and it was so invigorating. Then we walked into the local town yesterday and had a bit of a mooch…..again very much curtailed by my walking. I determined not to give in to this bloomin’ foot…..
We had a good journey home although earlier in the day the traffic looked horrendous and the weather looked horrid…..but there were no jams and no rain.
I’m heading to a U3A singing group in a while and hope to potter in the garden for the rest of the day 👍🌼🌸🌺😁 just hope the rain keeps away💦💦

I went to the singing group. The usual lady was on holiday so there was a stand in who over estimated our talent 😂😂😂😂😂 not the best session I’ve ever been to.
I called to the gym and did a tai chi class. It’s a couple of years since I last went. I have really deteriorated - I had to make a lot of adjustments and do easier movements……especially any involving balance 😳😳😳 I’ll try and go every week to build up some strength again.

Lazy morning watching some of the pageant from weekend. I’ve just had breakfast and am heading for an half hours swim. Bit of money saving too, as I’ll shower and wash my hair there and use my gym membership 😃 I’d forgotten how much I enjoy going……I’d had a couple of rubbish tummy days so didn’t go and it’s surprising how easy it is to break a habit 😏. My ankle isn’t sore when I swim…..just the pressure of walking that’s the problem 😡

Swimming will be great to help you improve your overall fitness while your foot is still poorly - any news on what you're actually done to it because of course that makes a difference to whether you should be trying to weight bear or resting it?  I also make sure I use the shower at the gym now when I can - and yes, I definitely see that as a membership benefit too!

EH I phoned the GP for the x ray results and was told the by the receptionist the x rays had been passed to the physio and there was no exclamation mark to warrant urgent action……so I’m guessing there is nothing too serious…..but that’s as much as I know. I do have arthritis in it and wear insoles as it’s badly out of alignment when I put weight on it….complications of a bone and ligament condition I have. It hasn’t been this bad for years😏 The receptionist did wonder whether to get a doc to phone me…..but with bank holidays etc, my physio appointment would be before she could get me to speak to a doc 😳 I used to take anti inflammatory meds but can no longer take them since I had the perforated intestine .
Stoma nurse has just visited, the van is packed so we’re off to Wales for  a couple of nights courtesy of the van dealership 😁It’ll take about an hour and a half to get there. The faulty hinge will be repaired in the morning - it’s booked in for half an hour then the rest of the day is ours …..hoping for some dry weather 🤞😁
