The first parcel has been delivered and 2 nd one due after 4 pm. I’m at a loss what to do with myself…..can’t settle to anything. Think I’m still adjusting to not working combined with not sleeping properly is getting to me. So I’m going to take myself for a walk to my favourite place. I’ll make a sandwich and sit by the pond watching the world go by for half an hour 😁
The vacuum cleaner is a make called…..eufy…….never heard of them bu Ds is happy with his…..we shall see 😏👍

We have not missed having a second car on the road.

It would have come in handy once or twice in the last year but we managed to work around not having it and in an absolute emergency the van is on the drive we can always use that although it isn't ideal.

OBL we have stayed or stopped at Exeter many times in the past. Ds still has a key ring he bought from the first place we’d ever seen that made items from welded, used metal bits. He has a spider made from nails and a bolt……he was fascinated as we’d never seen anything like it. He bought it from a little craft shop by the riverfront when he was about 10……he’s in his 40s now and still uses it all the time. Think he’s had his money’s worth 😂😂
Thats on the Quay, there is still a shop down there that sells things made out of metal 😀 I live a twenty minute walk from there 😀

OBL you are so lucky living on such a beautiful place. It was indeed the Quay…..there was also a pizza place on the river which the kids looked longingly at…..but at the end of the holidays and cash mostly spent - we had a lovely pizza cooked in the caravan instead 😀👍 Doesn’t seem to have done them any harm at all.
I have just taken myself out for a walk to my happy place. A walk in the sunshine and sit on the bench with a cup of tea from the outside cafe was the best medicine going. Been feeling very meh atm…….not sure what has got into me. Lots to keep me busy and entertained but no incentive to do anything other than the absolute necessary things…..need to give myself a kick up the behind and shape myself. There was a young man about 20 ish playing the ukulele…not busking- just enjoying the moment  sitting on the grass in the sunshine…..very gentle tunes…..coupled with the birdsong was a very pleasant half hour.
I am definitely torn RS……it seems extravagant but is only a small car, the insurance has come down in price this year, I don’t know if I’m tempting fate by saying it’s running well and the road tax is only £20 a year……so as long as it’s running well and not costing too much, I still think it works out cheaper than using taxis and busses…….I think the mot might be the decider.

That sounds like a lovely way to spend the afternoon. My DD has a ukulele and was learning to play it but she lost interest,I've often thought about picking it up myself but I think the neighbours would murder me 😂😂

Edited to add, the pizza place is still there as well and still as good as ever 😍😍

OBL pick the uke  up…..there are lots of u tube tutorials. The neighbours won’t hear you.  Dh plays it……he had a few lessons and then went to a U3A group. How can I say it without putting Dh down 😂😂😂😂 he isn’t a natural player but enjoys it. The lad today was a natural 👍 I’d love to play but my double jointed fingers won’t allow it. The bend back and press more that one string at a time. 😏

Oh I'd love a robot one, I wonder if it would go under my son's bed.  His room, his responsibility, but I could just send a robot one in & not have to go in myself.  If I have to step over the threshhold I tend to close my eyes.

No it’s not a robot one. Ds has a robot one and it does a pretty good job on the whole….not sure of the make though. He also has the this eufy stick cleaner to get a few places the robot can’t reach…..it misses a small ridge along the side of a rug. It’s a solid floor so not sure how it’d fare on carpet.
    I still haven’t tried it…..will report back when I have 👍
I'm visiting a friend today I used to work with many years ago. She came to me a few weeks ago and we’ve said we will try to stay in touch this time. So far so good 👍 it’s so easy to loose touch with people.
