That food looks lovely.
Sounds like a nice day out1 -
It was a lovely day out. I’m a real people watcher and being on the tram just made me feel part of the world again. Nothing earth shattering- just more normal 👍
I did have a mini panic though as I thought I’d had a ‘bagccident’ where I though there had been leakage…..but it was just me panicking and it hadn’t 🤔January spends - £587.581 -

That sounds like a lovely day Milann - funny how sometimes just sitting down not doing much can be as tiring as if you’d done loads of walking about though!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Another lovely unexpected day yesterday. Dh had ordered some screen covers for the outside of Millie…..apparently they insulate the van and reduce condensation. He went to collect them in the next county to us over the Pennines. I went with him for the ride and we continued on to a lovely market town with canals and a fantastic fish and chip restaurant we have visited many times in the past. We had a walk along the canal, a mooch around the market and some shops and drove home the scenic route through little villages and over the tops of the Pennines. We saw a pretty sunset over a lake and stopped for a drink there. I was in bed at 8.30 and didn’t walk half as far as we usually do. Think I’m getting into the groove of retirement. On our walk we found a little campsite we have earmarked for a visit which we can couple with a train ride for Dh not too far away. I’ve done it previously when the kids were younger but Dh hasn’t. It’s where they filmed the Railway Children.
I headed to SW this morning 😂😂😂😂 fully expecting a gain. I’d stayed the same….not sure how with meals out. But I’m happy enough with that. As long as I don’t put on too often and generally head in the right direction it’ll do for me. I had a lovely catch up with some friends and chatted to the mum of a child I used to work with. The outcome is I’m going to see this child, who is such a character, from time to time with her support worker who I know well. Excited 👍
Ive spent £65 over the last couple of days 😳January spends - £587.583 -
The lady you met sounds very interesting Scottie. Tbh I’ve only had occasional ‘bagccidents’ but it is one of my fears when I’m out and about. On the whole things are manageable. It really is amazing what they can do for us all medically to help,us live the best lives we can 👍January spends - £587.582

Sounds like a lovely day. The best days are the unexpected ones.
We had considered the insulated screen covers but decided against them for how we use our van.
We don't get loads of condensation on the screens and it tends to demist with the heating on by the time we are ready to set off again.1 -
We didn’t get much condensation tbh RS but Dh has it in his head he wanted the silver screens as most of the vans at Bristol had them on and he got chatting to somebody about them…..boys and their toys. I think they might be more trouble that they’re worth.I know I can’t reach high enough to help him put them on 😂😂
I think my total spends for February are now £110 but I need to go back over my posts to check I haven’t missed anyJanuary spends - £587.582 -
We said more trouble than worth both in fitting them but also in having to find somewhere to put them when they are wet after using them.1

Ds came around today and we decided since the weather looked better than tomorrow we’d go out. We ended up in the city where the river near me meets the sea. It’s only a couple of weeks since myself and Dh were there but ds hasn’t been for a while. We went in the museum there - I’d been once on a school trip but actually only saw about 1/4 of it. It felt very busy with a lot of little children crying for some reason. The Egyptian exhibition was quite good. We went for a short walk along the riverfront but it was a tad too windy. Ds treated us to pizza before we headed home. I need a restful day tomorrow as I know I’ve done too much and am aching everywhere……my hip and arm are driving me mad. I think I’m reluctant to turn any offers of an outing as we’ve missed out on a lot these last couple of years. But I have to learn to pace myself. I spent £10 on drinks for us whilst out.
