Yesterday’s wake up was a civilised 7 am which is their usual time 😁 - think we were all tired with a pre - 6 am start the previous day 🌜😳 We had a bit of a leisurely morning, went to the local park for a hot chocolate en route to the train station so they could burn a bit of energy before the long journey home. I saw them to the train at 12.30 and called in my local shopping street on my way home. It used to be a lovely street now it’s all charity shops, vaping shops and nail bars. There is a co op and there was an armed robbery there last week….the way it has deteriorated is so sad to see. There is still a home bargains and I had a quick nosy. £22 later…….I’d been looking at a wooden compendium of  board games before Christmas on t’internet which was just short of £30 so I decided not to bother…….£9.99 in there yesterday. I bought one to take in Millie and one for a present 😁 I bought some soap in there too 🧼🛀.
I chilled for a while once home and then tidied downstairs…..it wasn’t too bad as everyone took all the toys that had accumulated down stairs back up before they went home. It still seems very quiet now.
The wind was horrendous yesterday afternoon and there was hail and torrential rain. I heard a clatter and thought it was thunder. Next door messaged me and said they’d put my bin back in the garden as it had blown in their garden. I spoke to her later and there was a big dint in the car where it had landed. Luckily she was great about it saying the car is nearly 20 years old and another dint in it won’t make any difference 😳 There were railway building scattered and broken all over the garden from our garden railway…..most look as if they can be repaired. We’ve brought the remaining buildings in before the next storm is due later 😳😳 as long as it’s only a few resin buildings damaged and not people or real buildings all will be good 👍
Not much happening here today……upstairs needs a sort out but it’s not too bad as dd folded the beds up for me 😁 Just need to do the bedding but there is not mad rush to do that 👍

£10 February Christmas money for great nephew and nieces put away. Cc paid to date. I need to sort out some house insurance as we haven’t had any for a while now 😳😳😳 it’s one of those things I’ve been going to do…..and kept putting off 😳😳😳

You should be able to get your house insurance very cheaply now you're at home all day. Ours is less than £100 for buildings and contents for the year.

That’s cheap SA. I went onto a comparison website and spent ages filling everything in for home insurance everytime I put my chosen password in it kicked me out and asked again…..I kept putting it in….get a little further along and fill a bit more in and it’d ask for my password again and kick me out. I was loosing the will to live by this time. So I blobbed it and did the totally wrong thing and just went to our bank and went with them. It’s just over £200 but we opted for insurance for things when they’re out of the house and accidental damage too……I know it would have been cheaper just having the basic and I could have probably got it cheaper but I was getting very stressed with it all and really wanted insuring from today. Dh said to put it onto direct debit so I wasn’t going argue with that….we will get interest through the 123 account. I feel much easier now we have insurance again. The bin blowing into next doors car yesterday spooked me a bit 😳 and they say it’ll be worse overnight.
I’ve cashed some Tesco vouchers so we can have a couple of meals out when on our travels in Millie. I’ve paid my cc in full and tried to pay the union fee. They wanted it paid by bank transfer but when I tried it came up as not recognised - I could have taken the chance but didn’t want to.  I think my bank is extra vigilant  about these things as when I tried to pay the builder a couple of years ago the same thing happened 😳 Anyway I’ve chased the union and tried to pay by cheque…they don’t accept that anymore so I’ll actually take the cash around to the office next week. Talk about a stressful afternoon….there’s no way I could work in an office. My head is buzzing 😏😏
Dh is off now for over a week. Weather permitting we are going to a part of Wales we’ve never visited before on Monday until Thursday 😁

Went to SW this morning….not sure how, but I stayed the same 😁 I met Dh and went for a cuppa with his U3A group. We went to M&S as I wanted some stewed steak from there to take in Millie next week when he head to Wales….they didn’t have any 😏 I still managed to spend £20 - it’s Dh fave food shop. The food we bought was very nice BUT we didn’t actually need it.
I came home full of commitment to SW as I’ve stayed the same 3 weeks running….the. My friend popped in with a bottle of Prosecco…..twas very nice 🥂
It has been windy but nowhere near as bad as I expected. There was a tree down around the corner from me and another mile or so away….but it seemed worse on Wednesday.

Not much to report here - I’ve been tired but did go to ds house yesterday. The storm has taken down his garden wall and it didn’t look in a poor state of repair….must have just been how the wind caught it. He has spoken to his neighbours and they’ll get it repaired between them. A couple of trees have come down round and about - the wind didn’t actually seem that bad either…..
We are going to Wales tomorrow- I can’t say I’m excited about it but weather looks much better tomorrow. I’m supposed to be tidying and sorting out what we’re taking but I can’t motivate myself. I’ve got a lovely mammogram at 36 minutes past 3…..will be interesting to see if I go in at the exact time 😂😂😂 I hate them and have been putting it off since Christmas but it has to be done. I’ve got no worries as I’ve had plenty of scans done over the last few years.

Good luck with the mammogram, I hate them too but necessary for peace of mind. I call them the boob squashing ordeal.

Doh 😏 I went a week early for the boob squeeze. It’s next Sunday.
We’ve just had a horrendous rain, hail and windy half hour.
I’ve ended up jumping down poor Dh throat for no apparent reason other than I’m tired…..his car was blocking mine and he said he was going out but was procrastinating  - 😏 much grovelling to be done on my part 😂😂
I’m not actually that much further on in sorting things out for tomorrow 🤨 Feeling very Biggleswade and out of sorts with the world today for some reason 😏
Right I’d better get a move on 😁
