Biggleswade ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ HOW did the spell checker come up with Biggleswadeโ€ฆ.should have said - feeling very bleughhhh ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Actually feel better after a little chuckle.
SA hope Biggleswade was lovely and not at all bleugh ๐Ÿ‘
We watched the first episode of Dodger on Netflix last night and the mill scenes filmed in my favourite NT place near to here - the market place was actually filmed in my home town with St Paulโ€™s ย Cathedral super imposed in the backgroundโ€ฆ..very surreal. The steps they filmed on lead to my marketโ€ฆ..Iโ€™ve walked up them many times. Looking forward to see if there are any more familiar scenes that have been moved to London 200 miles away ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I think our river is about to burst its banksโ€ฆโ€ฆlooking very dicey on the fb page ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  • Love it! I'm definitely feeling a bit Biggleswade today. I was out walking my wee dog and I was knocked to the ground by one of a pair of Rottweilers "just trying to be friendly" according to their owner. My dog took off at a rate of noughts. The man - who looked like an extra from Peaky Binders- had to hoik me back to my feet. My knee is all scraped and my hip is on fire.ย

Hope you are ok Scottieโ€ฆ.not surprised you were feeling โ€˜Biggleswickโ€™ ๐Ÿ˜ all dogs need controlling but especially the bigger breeds ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ hopefully youโ€™re ย not too sore after the ordeal.ย
Well it was touch and go whether we made the trip as plannedโ€ฆ.we hung back a couple of hours then decided to go for it as the worse of the weather had passed. There were a few gusts we could feel whilst travelling but the sun came out and we were out walking under blue skies on Monday afternoon. There were many flooded rivers and fields en route though ๐Ÿ˜ณ We stayed within the grounds of a NT place, so walked around the parkland Monday after our arrival then visited the house and gardens Tuesday and went for a walk around the area. Not the biggest NT property but very nice. ย We ate in the van Monday and Tuesday and were tucked up in bed lovely and cozy with a cuppa at 9 each evening so it was a very restful trip. Wednesday we ventured into the big Welsh town that houses the Welsh Parliament- weโ€™d never been before didnโ€™t have a clue where to head for parking a blooming big motorhome so gave it up as a bad job after going around the same one way system several times ๐Ÿ˜‚ Weโ€™d passed signs for Gavin and Stacey Landโ€ฆ.so headed there and got ourselves parked up no problem. There were several motorhomes on the carpark and a couple looked as if they were staying overnight. We had a walk around and saw the cafe used in the showโ€ฆ..and yesโ€ฆโ€ฆtook our photos outside like real tourists ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ There was a train station there so we hopped on the train back to big city and left Millie at Barry Island. It took about half an hour. I was very impressed at the transformation ย of the old dock lands, We had a boat trip around the bay and a lovely walk before we headed back on the train. We picked Millie up and headed out for tea, courtesy of Mr T vouchers ยฃ7 for drinks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ย
Then it was time to head home this morning before we knew it - we had the most wonderful trip home. We came through hail, snow, sunshine and rainbows. We didnโ€™t go anywhere near a motorway but headed back over the Brecon Beaconsโ€ฆ..amazing scenery with snow capped peaks and wonderful waterfalls. We stopped mid Wales for dinner and have been home about half an hour. Iโ€™d definitely go back to that part of the world again.
At most I spent ยฃ20 all the tripโ€ฆ..although Dh spent more. Site fees, diesel todayโ€™s dinner and the boat trip cost. Weโ€™re members of the NT so that didnโ€™t cost although we did support the cafe and 2nd hand book shop ๐Ÿ‘ย Next trip is toward the end of March ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
