£15 spend today in @ldi. Dh is a so n so for putting things in the basket……..must remember to leave him at home next time 😂
We went for a walk to a park about a 10 minute drive away…..it was lovely to see the snowdrops. We were only out about an hour.
Ive been waiting for ages for a podiatry appointment and true to form it’s on the day I’m suppose to be going to the real live craft group. I might phone and see if I can change it…..but if it’s a log time off I’ll just skip the craft group.
    February spends now £27.
    January spends - £587.58

Isn’t that just typical with the podiatry appointment 🙄 I was on the waiting list to have my bunion done and the appointment came up when I had my leg in plaster. The leg was the same foot with the bunion so they couldn’t even look at it.

  • Typical DHs and kids always add to the shopping bill. Glad to hear you got out and about today to the park.

But also of how delicious freshly laid eggs are! we always tend to buy at the roadside when we're in the islands - not so many places near home that it's possible though. In more normal times there are a couple of campsites we use that have fresh eggs from hens on the site and we always bring a couple of boxes back.
I live on the outskirts of a city and have no transport. My daughter lives 18 miles away in the countryside. Fresh eggs are £3.50 for 20 = 17.5p each. For various work schedule and Covid reasons I have had none this year and have paid an average of 15p per egg for far less quality. In my last lot of 20 roadside eggs I had 12 double yolkers. The colour and taste is so different

I went to SW this morning and as I expected I’d put 1 1/2 lb on. I’ve eaten cake and chocolate all week and been out for a delicious meal for ds birthday. It is what it is…..I’ll get where I want to be in the end……the scenic motorhome route but I’ll get there 👍
I spent just short of £10 as I bought a raffle ticket, paid for group, bought a magazine and pack of cereal bars. I sat next to the gentleman who was folding raffle tickets so I helped him fold them. The prize this week was a £5 note to take shopping and buy sw free food. The idea is to post a photo of the food bought to inspire others….guess what - I WON the £5. Then people donate a food item and whoever is slimmer of the week gets to take the goodies home. They had already left so another raffle ticket was drawn for the food …..guess what - I WON AGAIN 😂😁👍 The photo is my winnings plus £5 note - not a bad haul for my £1 raffle ticket 😁 So I reckon I’ve come out evens on the morning.
Luckily Dh was meeting me and carried the heavy bag for me and we went for a cuppa with his U3A group 👍 So a lovely morning was had 👍

Chopped tomatoes down to only 27, red kidney beans down to only 18, best before date 2025.  Chopped tomatoes at the very least two a week & kidney beans at the very least one a week.  Must admit I don't do tinned potaoes, but then I don't really do potatoes that much.  After the empty shelves (which were obviously none existant) I am not prepared to not stockpile & now we have the price issues.  I've not been able to buy prune juice for my son since before Xmas, well unless I was prepared to pay over £3 a pack.
