It looks so bare now the Christmas decorations are down. I’m pleased dh is home to help. I’m just having a rest before continue to tidy the living room. Another day without my spending me thinks 😁

We thought the same when ours came down. Used to it again now though 😄

It’s quite nice and tidy now so it feels ok with the decorations down. We still have the lights on the fence though so it doesn’t look too bad. I think the fact that it’s been a very dark day outside made it seem worse…..we’ve had a mixture of snow, sleet, hail and rain all day.  They keep changing their mind on the weather app about tomorrow….it keeps fluctuating between sleet and heavy snow…..will have to see what tomorrow brings. I doubt it’ll stick though as the ground is very wet.
Dh has been for his flu jab today….the GP phoned and cancelled his appointment a few weeks ago and he hasn’t been able to book back in so has visited the local chemist today….he hasn’t had any after effects yet 🤞👍
I’ve spent the evening cutting Christmas cards up and made gift tags for next year……oh and eating chocolate and Christmas cake😏🍫 twas rather tasty but not good when I’m going to sw in the morning 😏It seemed a waste to just bin the cards…I remember doing this with my mum as a child……but we had a lot more cards then. I’ve saved the stamps and am sending them to a charity that had requested them…….every little helps I suppose 👍

I went to SW this morning and after the chocolates and Christmas Cake yesterday and fish and chips on New Year’s Day I’d put 1lb on. I can live with 1 1/2 on over Christmas and New Year. I saw some lovely people there I’ve not seen for a long time so I was very pleased I’d gone today. £1spent on a raffle ticket which will be drawn tomorrow.
    Total January spends £1 😁

We’ve had hail and snow this morning and some rain on top. Hope we get more rain because if the thin layer of slush we have freezes it’ll be lethal. I’m very pleased dh was off work as he dropped me at the door of SW and picked me up….I’ve totally lost my confidence when it’s slippery.

You can't moan at that gain over Christmas/New Year. I really miss my WW group, no idea if it will ever start running again as the coach who ran it left last year. It kept me on the straight and narrow but the main thing for me was chatting to other members. I some online bits via the app but it's not the same.

I’ve spent the afternoon reading a Dr Chattergee book online. It has made perfect sense so far….I quite like him on tv. I’m loving  the library app but do prefer a book in my hand rather than on screen, as I’m very aware of my screen time creeping up quite a lot recently….something this Dr talks about and the effects it can have on health.
Im debating booking a swim on Monday I think. I haven’t been for ages as the covid figures put me off…..but I need to make myself get out and about again…..I’m slipping into bad habits 😏

I much prefer a real book. I’ve tried reading via the kindle app, it’s not the same. This is the one thing I won’t be converted on.
