Happy New Year to you and your family milann and a great 2022!🍾🥳
Well done with Slimming World. I'm going to take a more relaxed approach to losing weight this year. I've finally come to the conclusion that I'm not a 'diet' person - I'm just going to try and cut down my portion size, cut out the snacks and up the fruit and veg content. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

That’s basically what I’m doing SSG - keeping things much more relaxed…..but clocking in at SW every week…..I’ve made quite a few friends there and it makes me get out and about.
Part way through this morning we decided to go out and take Millie Motorhome for an outing. We threw a few bits to eat and dh suddenly decided to throw the sleeping bags in - just in case. We headed to the town just beyond the seaside place with the big tower. We walked along the sea front. I’d hoped to see some waves but the sea was so far out we could just about see it. There were a few folk about but no crowds. Dh accidentally let the water he’d put in drain away as he’d left a tap open…..but it’s only the 2nd time we’ve taken it out so I’ll let him off 😉 plus we’d not taken everything we needed in our rush so we came home to sleep. We also brought the food we took back home as we had fish and chips which were delicious. We drove along the illuminations for the 3 rd time this season. I had a lovely day. An unexpected outing and my total spends so far for 2022 is a big fat ZERO 😁😁 dh got the fish and chips. It’s the first time in a while I’ve hit 10,000 steps and boy do I know it. To finish the day and Christmas season we visited a road a couple of miles from home…..most of the homes in this road go way over the top decorating their homes for Christmas and they ask for donations for the local hospice….it’s been on local tv quite a few times we didn’t visit before Christmas this year…..after seeing the lights I’m ready for Christmas all over again 🎄😂😂😂😂🎄January spends - £587.584 -

It certainly was Beanie 😁 nothing exciting but a walk by the sea and fish and chips scores highly in Milannland…..I’m a simple sole at heart.
I had a rubbish nights sleep - I must bend my arm tight as I sleep then it locks and I can’t release it for a few minutes- it’s so sore when it does this - must be something to do with the artificial joint bit…..and for some reason my good arm has come out in sympathy- my wrist is swollen and I can’t lift anything. I first noticed it after I’d been Christmas shopping at the big mall near me a couple of week ago but I don’t remember doing anything to aggravate it yesterday. I’m just a demmic 🤔 anyway I’ve plastered anti-inflammatory cream and taken some paracetamol, hopefully that’ll do the trick. If I could still take naproxen that’d sort it but I can’t take anti inflammatory meds anymore 😏
ive not been up long - we had bacon butties in bed 😁 I’ll miss dh when he goes back to work tomorrow. Only 2 days this week though. I keep asking him when he’s going to finish but he’s still enjoying it so he says he’ll carry on a bit longer.
I want to make a few phone calls to catch up with a couple of folk. Not much else planned for today. Food will be left over lamb and aubergine that dh cooked on New Year’s Day…and cheese and crackers late4 this evening. Dh got a great big piece of Lancashire Cheese reduced from £5.40 to £1.03….the 03p tickled me. Anyway it needs eating…….I think it’ll end up in a cheese and onion pie later in the week 👍😁😁 Probably Friday after I’ve been to SlimmingWorld 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Watching the Railway Children. It always reminds me of my brother and a day out we had on the train where it was filmed in Yorkshire.I want to sort the fridge out later as a few things are reaching their sell by dates. I want to de bone a leg of lamb and chop some up for curries and freeze a bit for roasting. I seem to have acquired a fair bit of cheese so will grate and freeze that too.
It’s been a funny old Christmas period……wish Covid would scarper once and for all. Once we were home from dds I’d wanted to visit some friends and family but been reluctant to do so - this dratted virus has put me right off, in case anything is passed between us….I don’t particularly trust the lateral flow tests as I know a few people have tested negative then had the other tests which showed positive 🤔 Dh is back at work tomorrow so I plan to tidy upstairs and keep on top of things this year. I have a zoom craft meeting on Wednesday with U3A - not sure how that’ll pan out, as I don’t like zoom. Then on Thursday I’ll take the decorations down and tidy downstairs properly 👍January spends - £587.584 -
Total spends for 2022 is still zero 😁 I know we’re only in day 3 but I’m quite pleased with that 👍
Its 16 years tomorrow that I first ended up in hospital with a perforated intestine and 6 weeks in and out of intensive care…..in my more lucid moments I was more worried about my money…..or the money I owed than I was my health. I will NEVER get to that stage again 👍🤞👍 in a funny sort of way it did me the biggest favour of my life 😏😁😁January spends - £587.585
