Cards didn’t get as far as the postbox as I forgot to get stamps. Phoned my brother and had a good chat to my nice sister in law……an hour later. But it was good to catch up. Not sure if I’ll see them over Christmas as they are a bit freaked out with the new variant.
Theers only been me in and my little corner looks like a disaster area 😂😂😂😂 need to have a quick tidy. Not sure how I manage to get it in such a state. I was going to get Christmas wrapped up today….haven’t managed anything 😳

Hopefully I’ll get my cards posted tomorrow at some point. Then I’m meeting a MSE real life friend - looking forward to it 👍 I might even get around to doing a bit of present wrapping when I get home. I’ve piled my table full of them and fully intended doing them today.

  • It sounds like you've had a good couple of days. The wrapping will get done - I made a good start but now still have several to do - I was going to do it today but have left them till tomorrow.......😏

Enjoy your meet up tomorrow. 👍

    Enjoy your meet up.

I had a present wrapping and card writing session on Tuesday night. The other half has tomorrow off work and is going out delivering gifts and cards so they needed doing. I did them while I could be bothered rather than rushing them and making a mess of them tonight.

We just need to get something for the dog while he is at the groomers on Saturday and get that wrapped and then we are finished for the year. No more presents and no more wrapping. Well I say we are finished. The other half still has my presents to wrap but they are at least bought :)

Not like us to be quite so organised about Christmas. I do like it though and do think that we will try and be more organised about it from now on.

I started off well by getting and wrapping the GKs presents weeks ago. Since then I've come to a standstill although I suppose it's because there isn't that much to buy/wrap and it won't take long. When my kids were little I often used to spend the best part of Christmas Eve wrapping presents. I'd start off really carefully then get fed up so the wrapping deteriorated after a while and I'd start shouting at the sticky tape 🤣 Now I try and wrap them carefully one at a time. I still shout at the sticky tape though 😆

Have a lovely catch up today.

I have wrapped the presents in batches this year as and when they have been bought. It hasn't felt like such a big task doing it that way.

There was still plenty of shouting at the tape though and losing the end  :D
  • I confess to not having wrapped a thing yet , Saturday night during The Strictly Final is when it will happen.

I’m up early this morning…..I’m usually awake but lounging in bed with a cuppa until dh goes out to work 😁 I wanted to catch littlest gdd who is 5 today and wish her happy birthday before she goes to school. All she wanted was an umbrella and slippers and a goldfish…..which she now has and more besides. It’s the one day without any sign of rain……hoping she gets the rain she wants to put said umbrella to the test😂😂😂😂 There’s something magical about being 5.
There is always much shouting at sticky tape in this house too. Dh is organised and does it systematically (although he hasn’t done any for a while…..when the children were little we used to do it between us on Christmas Eve)  whereas I don’t and get myself in a tangle every time….story of my life 😳😂
