Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

SSG - it has been cold and very wet for most of the day. When I left dds yesterday the sky was blue……the closer I got to home the greyer the sky was and by the time I got off the train it was close to black and raining ☔️

HE…….my son in law seems to believe that it is grim up here 😂😂😂😂 virtually every time he visits it rains……It’s become a standing joke that the rain waits for him. 

I missed SW yesterday as my friend came around and we were too busy stuffing our faces with sausage baguettes. I went this morning and was pleased to stay the same…..I’m more than happy with that after my few days away complete with treats 😁

When my sister started to visit the North regularly, as DD has lived there for a number of years, she said she always knew when she was in the region because of those great big brick water vats steaming away that you could see for miles!  DD's Northern OH retorted that he always knew when he had arrived in our area (South-East Essex) because of the number of burnt out cars on the side of the main A road! (Bit harsh that!🤣)

Lol SSG - the biggest bone of contention though is ‘bath’ versus ‘barff’ Gks vary calling it bath like mum and barff like dad 😂😂😂 I saw a cracking framed picture I was going to get them with a 1950s looking lady in a bathroom and it said something like ‘this is a bath….not a barrrfff’ I was going to get it then realised the last line said ‘We are up North’ they couldn’t have it in their house as they’re Down South and it wouldn’t fit anywhere in my house 😏😂😂😂

My ex-husband was a Northerner and our bone of contention was tortoise - tortoys versus tortus!!!!!🤣🤣🤣

SSG  I used to work in Barking many years ago, my boss at the time, when spelling the name to people used to say “B - for Beirut” in response to the burnt out cars that lined the road round the back of the estate! 😂
