Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

A very lazy Saturday was had in the Milann household - dh had worked a full week and although he wouldn’t admit to such a thing, he looked shattered. Yesterday we went over to ds and i thoroughly enjoyed putting his tree up with him. He’d planned fajitas for tea but they were on the edge of spiciness for me…..so left himself and dh to it. I had a bacon, tomato and pasta dish which meant I stayed on SW plan. I’m not being too rigid with myself coming up to Christmas I know I’m out a few times which I intend to enjoy and not even think SW…….but in between I’m trying not to spiral 😁. When I came home I felt festive for the first time. I’ve made the list I’ve been threatening to make for weeks and am heading to the big shopping mall to act on it. I’ll also pop over to Costco for a couple of bits and might just treat myself to a jacket potato whilst there 👍 I don’t intend to stay long - just nip in the required shops, across the road to Costco and home again. I quite fancy a trip into the big city too where the markets are before Christmas…..I actually love the busy hustle and bustle - that’s why I can’t get too enthusiastic too soon I think 😏😂😂

I think your weight loss plan sounds eminently sensible for this time of year milann! I'm trying to do the same....

😂😂😂did I say something about not staying too long at the shops yesterday. It was 5 pm when I got in…..and then I went out again to my local John Lewis as they didn’t have what I wanted for dd and sil at the big shopping mall. I’ve got it now though.
I’ve spent a good while on the phone chatting this morning. I’ve spoken to 3 friends 😁 in between chatting I’ve been writing some Christmas cards…..not got very far though 😂😂
I’m off out to something put on by my medical suppliers at a local hotel in a while. Not sure what I’m letting myself in for but I’ll get a coffee and nibbles and there is some kind of Christmas floristry going on, there should have been hand massage but they’ve cancelled that bit. If I don’t like it I won’t go again 👍
My cc statement has just come through…..I’m going to pay it in full later and before new year I’ll pay everything I owe and start a new regime in the New Year where I keep more of an eye on things 👍January spends - £587.583 -
Hope you enjoyed the event at the hotel Milann - nothing to lose by trying it and, as you say, you don't have to go again if you decide it's not your thing!
Good plan to get everything paid up in full too - I think we all know where the slippery slope of doing otherwise can lead us, don't we!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I’ve just got home after my jaunt to a local hotel. I had to smile…..the last time I was there was a works do about 10 years or more ago. We had a great night drinking, dancing and just having fun……and there I was today at a colostomy support group 😏 How things change….. It was a bit daunting for the first 10 minutes or so and I very nearly turned around and walked out. But I got sat at a table with a fairly humorous couple and then the floristry lady did a bit of a show….Victoria Wood style story whilst decorating several Christmas flower arrangements which were raffled out as everyone was give a free raffle ticket. She was a bit of a character and the flowers were beautiful. True to form the number for the best one was 1 away from mine. It wasn’t a wasted journey though as I got some advice and now know a company I can get in touch with for something that might help.Right, I need to decide what to do for tea. I’ve got some pork mince out so will probably make pork and apple burgers and some actifry chips with salad. Then I need to carry on with my Christmas cards.
I must have strained my good arm yesterday carrying a bag as my wrist is really sore. I rely on that arm a lot too. 😂😂😂😂 Think my mum would have said I need putting in a bag and shaking up 😂😂😂
I happened to be passing a Hotter pop up shop yesterday too and will be the proud owner of a pair of black boots when they arrive. If they last as long as my last black ones they’ll be ok…..not sure if it’s 3or 4 years I’ve had them. My lovely reddy coloured ones I bought last week have been promoted to best 👍 She measured my feet on an all singing and dancing machine……when I saw the 3D outline of foot showing my flat flat-footedness. 😳😳😳 Not a pretty sight….definitely needed covering with new boots 👍👍👍😂😂😂January spends - £587.582 -

Lovely to have new boots that you'll love - I'm getting away with not needing to replace any this year as they're getting less wear as we are a lot more casual at work now. Might take and wear my knee-highs tomorrow evening I think though, I do love them and so rarely get a chance to wear them now!
I'm glad you got something useful from the hotel thing particularly as you felt daunted to start with - well done for staying!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The boots arrived this morning. Nothing fancy but plain and comfortable. The sales assistant wanted to charge me £5.50 for next day delivery…..I said I’d take my chances.Gllad I didn’t bother.
Just off out to post some cards. I got myself in a tangle 😂😂😂my family call me by my full name - everyone else uses the shortened version…..I had to throw half a dozen out as I’d got carried away signing my posh Sunday name 😂😂😂😂 I’d left them wondering who the card was from 😂😂January spends - £587.582 -
