Just noticed what time you posted 3 am 😳😳

Would you believe I was suffering from pain in my hip? I had both hips replaced seven years ago., Now my left hip has dislocated three times in the past year. Sometimes it just pops back in- at other times I have to go into hospital to get it put back in under anaesthetic. Not good...Hope you keep as pain free as possible. Your consultant sounds great.

I’ve just realised today is the 1st of the month. I’m not going to log my NSDs as it doesn’t work for me - if I have a small spend I think - well I’ve already blown it so often spend more 😳😏😳 I managed it in September when I started counting them again, but didn’t do well at all in October.  I’ve discovered adding  it up as I go along works better.
Tomorrow I will look at my finances as I’ve had my lumpsums through from the pensions and I think the 1st actual monthly payment should have gone through a couple of days ago…..mmmmm….just realised the end of a month payday doesn’t bode well for Christmas- mid month was much better - which was when my work wages went in. I’ve decided to get some premium bonds with my lump sum, as there are no decent interest rates anywhere. I think I’ll do my Christmas shopping before I do though.
Dh has just insured the motorhome….it was a lot cheaper than the cars…..which seems a bit crazy….but I’m not complaining 😁
    My November spends £0 😁

Good news on your lump sums.
    How long did they take?

The premium bonds aren't a bad idea to buy if you have a lump sum and want to put it somewhere very low risk - as you say interest rates for cash savings at the moment are dire. I've had a couple of small wins since topping mine up and know a couple of people who have won regularly since doing the same - they've definitely beaten the current interest rates.

Beanie the lump sum came through just before the gks arrived so I’ve only just looked at my totals properly. I’ve just spoken to DWP and the monthly works pension won’t affect the payments from them as it’s under £86 a month. Things are looking better than i thought they would be. It’s half of what my wages were but I can manage on that’s long as dh doesn’t do anything silly like popping his clogs 😂🤔 I shouldn’t even joke about that 🤞. The crunch time will be when these payments finish in May as I’m presuming the household income will exceed the limits for Universal Credit- no good worrying about the future….a day at a time me thinks 👍 I’ve never been more pleased I paid all my debts off.
I've just had to go out and rescue next doors cat….it still walks around the fences and never comes down other than into it’s own garden via a tool box as a step 😜 anyway another cat was on the fence and they had a stand off with snarling, teeth and claws….all whilst balancing 😂😂 I threw a handful of gravel towards them and other cat scarpered. Next door cat hid under some garden furniture complete with war wounds.
No spends planned today so November totals should be £0

I really don’t know what to do about SW. I didn’t take to the new group I went to…the people didn’t chat much and nobody posts on the FB page. I’m tempted to go back to my old group where I know the consultant and the people……but am I just throwing good money away if I’m not following it properly. The hip consultant mentioned yesterday how important it is to keep active and weight down….I know I need to get a stone off  -  the head is willing but the mouth isn’t 😵‍💫😵‍💫 I won’t be doing anything this week as I’m suppose to be meeting a friend for a swim and lunch on Friday….but that depends on my throat.
Next week when I’m over this throat I’m going to restart my exercise regime….a combination of gym, swim and walking. Something each day but little and often rather than going mad.

Maybe you should give your old group another try. A neighbour of mine was going to my WW group for ages before something finally clicked and she got to goal. It took her forever and she never followed it properly but the weigh in was accountability for her.

I'm feeling like you too milann re SW. I don't feel I've lost as much weight on the plan as I should do and I think it's because I'm allowed as much pasta and rice as I want and I'm basically someone who likes large portions. It's funny - when I was at DD's recently for a fortnight I ate out quite a few times (three coursers some of them) plus wine but when I weighed myself on return I had lost a pound!  I think this is because DD was cooking for me and looking after the food all the other times - her and her OH eat healthily at home with reasonably sized portions. I haven't been to SW since I've been back and have been trying to replicate what I was eating at DD's. The other big problem is basically because I have no willpower!☹️

I’ve had so many times when I’ve not been able to go out SSG with illness then COVID restrictions- at the moment if I get chance to go out I’m taking it and eating things as a treat. The lack of routine is creating a LOT of snacking too. Plus the portions are getting bigger. Like you when I went to dds I lost weight….and she used olive oil with everything. I’m going to think about it this week. I know I’ve not got a lot to loose but I really don’t want to put any more on.
ive spent an exciting…..not……afternoon on a survey site……I know how to live😂😂😂 I used to do a few but got fed up of being screened out so gave it up as a bad job. Will see how it goes this time😏 I just thought getting some vouchers might help spread the pennies 😁

Perhaps the weight answer is to move in permanently with our DDs!🤣
Re the surveys - I just use Opinium now - their surveys range from 25p to 75p and I tend to get quite a few. You can cash out at £25. I thought I might get screened out more on retirement but it doesn't seem to have made much difference.
I gave up with YouGov because I wasn't getting many surveys and it seems to take years to get to £45!  I did Prolific for a while and found it quite profitable but I did most of them on my PC at work and then the firm's new firewall started stopping them. My old laptop was playing up and the surveys started trickling off.  Funnily enough I tried them again recently but Prolific wanted me to scan proper photo ID like my passport to them and basically I don't want to do that!😱
