I walked to physio today. It was hard going as I was tired from weekend. I requested a sicknote a while ago as it runs out on Wednesday….I have lots of agro with the electronic ones as I haven’t a clue how to get them out of my phone. Dh has tried too and it won’t let you email them as it says it’s encrypted 😡😡😡 so whilst I was in town at physio I decided to see if the good folk at DWP could do anything with it. Anyway after a very long wait outside a lovely fellow saw me. He said if it was Universal Allowance I was claiming he could just transfer it but because it’s ESA they want to see the original. I told him it was the original. He managed to print it off somehow - it took him ages so I had no chance 😳he said he will forward it but said they might not accept it 😏😏😏 What’s the difference with ESA and Universal Credit…..beyond me…..watch this space.January spends - £587.580

Probably no difference just want to make life difficult it’s usually somebody trying to make themselves look important0

I'm surprised. ESA accept mine via an online service
https://send-fit-note.service.gov.uk/identify?lang=en
Mine has come in different ways from the Dr but always saved into my files then I upload the file.
Hope all goes well.
I'm still waiting to hear on the ESA 50 which was sent over a month ago.🙄0 -
Pep I’m a complete technophobe and wouldn’t have a clue how to send it via technology. Hence my visit for a bit of help. I thought they’d do it easily but not sure if it’s my set up but he struggled too. He was adamant they wanted a paper version 😏😏 Is the ESA 50 the questionnaire about health issues and asking for evidence….if so it’s a few weeks since I sent mine in. He said today there it was taking a lot longer for a doctor’s assessment due to covid.

Well, I can reassure you that they accept a electronic form of fit note.
And yes, my form was easy as it was the cancer nurse rather than me who filled it in. I find it unacceptable that I was repeatedly chased for the form (which arrived whilst I was undergoing surgery a month after the application and they had been advised of the date of surgery) which was returned by their deadline yet have not had the courtesy of an acknowledgement.1 -

I'm lucky Beanielou, I'm not really in need of the money as I have savings - the complete lack of communication is appalling.
I'm chased for sicknotes by post on the due date - they must know sicknotes can't be obtained in advance so it's a complete waste of resources. I have a work coach which is completely pointless as I can't work through chemotherapy and I have a job to go to once that and radiotherapy are over, the English on the emails I have received is appalling to the point that they don't make sense. Appointments are postponed at short notice and I'm asked to rearrange - I advised I couldn't attend the rescheduled appointment as it was when I would be travelling to a blood test but could do any other time until the next cycle of chemotherapy yet apparently there was no available appointment. Honestly if I worked on that basis I'd be rightly out of a job in no time.
Sorry Milann, hopefully you'll be sorted soon.1
