So today I sorted out all the paperwork to send for the ESA claim…..true to form my printer didn’t work. We got a new one a couple of years ago and it is more trouble than it’s worth.  A wireless one that spend most of its time not talking to the computer so i hobbled around to the local printing place and they copied everything I needed for £1.50 so it was worth it to be hassle free. I have copies of everything sent - just in case…..
After our lovely day out with the GKS yesterday I managed to stub my toe as I was putting ds wheelchair in the boot. By last night it was beginning to bruise…..it’s a lovely deep purple now - as long as I walk on the back of my foot I’m ok but can’t put any weight on it….I’m guessing there must be a tiny fracture in it but there is no way I’m sitting in A&E with it. They’ll only tell me to strap them together. The joys of having brittle bones.
I should be doing all sorts to get the house back in order but am absolutely shattered so have been watching catch up Corrie instead. I need to pay my cc off then I’ll do the kitchen….I’ll tackle the other rooms a day at a time until I get there again.
We are hoping to meet up with dd and gks again on Thursday whilst they are holidaying in our part of the world….then it’ll be October when we see them again, which is pretty good going 😃👍

They can’t do anything for toes, you’d be wasting your time going to A&E. Had this experience with Mr SA when he broke his big toe, waiting around for ages for nothing really. Hope it gets better soon.

Thanks SA - It’ll be ok in a couple of days when it’s past it’s worse. It’s the near the joint in my big toe and I can get about with my thick soled sandals on….
I’ve  just found out one of my cousins in USA has passed away form covid. Apparently she was anti vaccine. A fit and healthy 66 year old. Her family are currently very angry with the group of people who influenced her views and are urging everyone not to listen and get the jab….it’s sad as there’s a good chance it could have been avoided. I never met her but have recently found her after loosing touch after our parents passed away many years ago.

That’s sad news about your cousin. My SIL’s DIL is anti vaccination and has just got Covid. I know everyone has a right to choose but imagine where we’d be without the vaccines for smallpox, TB, polio, etc.

  • Hope your toe gets better soon . Sorry to hear about your cousin passing away . We have a lady on our team who is 38 single parent now and has 2 children 7 and 2 and she is anti vax . It surprises me some of the people who are .
Have a lovely day again with the family on Thursday .

We are going to a sculpture gallery on Thursday…..I’ve never been to this one and to be honest I’m not sure it’s my thing but will be a good excuse for more Grandma cuddles….and a surprise for the girls as they think we won’t be seeing them until half term when they’ll stay here as dd is being whisked away for a 40th birthday treat…..not sure how my baby got to be 40 😜
It is sad about my cousin - we’d only just found each other and had talked about how lovely it would be to have a big family get together from all corners of the world….probability a bit of a pipe dream but a nice idea 😏 People have the right to choose about vaccines but the family believe she got sucked in with a lot of crazy propaganda 😏 I fully understand those with some health issues but the scientists and doctors have done the research and she chose to ignore that and believe a load of rubbish instead of facts…….such a waste of life 🥲

I’ve just walked there and back to SW…..83 active minutes 😜 I enjoyed group where she did a bit of a quiz using the new magazine….it was quite a laugh. I didn’t enjoy that I’d put 2 1/2 lb back on……making my total loss since I restarted 1 lb annnddddd I’m on my last week of my 6 week countdown next week. Got my determined head on and big girls knickers on to say no when temptation calls me.
I’m absolutely shattered now and going to spend the rest of the afternoon chilling. Dh is working late again…this is becoming a regular occurrence and he is looking shattered. Wish he’d learn to say no to his boss. I know it’s a small family firm he works for and he feels obliged but I feel they sometimes take advantage of his good nature.

At least you’re not giving up, it’s so disheartening when you gain but you sound determined to carry on. Although as they say on the Secret World of Slimming Clubs podcast “no shame in a gain” 😆

That's sad news about your relative milann. My friend had Covid quite badly - it has quite affected her. She begged her son to get vaccinated but he Pooh-Pooh'd the idea - I think he couldn't be bothered to be honest. So then he got Covid really bad and was unable to work - he's a self-employed tiler so it hit his pocket as well as his health. Not to say he wouldn't have got it anyway but it seems daft not to take advantage of a free vaccine!

I hope your DH listens to you and cuts down the number of times he works late.

Sorry to hear about the weight gain. Still you sound determined so good luck for this week!😀
